"Visited on Friday afternoon,. First time for me visiting and was pleasantly surprised. The pub itself is great and the restaurant/dining area was lovely and warm. We popped in for a late lunch. Member of staff took us to our table and we ordered drinks. Only niggle was that cans of juice are not chilled but that’s my preference. The menu is slightly more extensive than most pubs and knew the food must be good by how busy the dining area was. Slight mix up with the order but the lady that served us was apologetic and professional in handling it, although my partner took what was served. I had the breaded fish and chips, partner ended up with chicken stuffed with haggis and mother in law had the soup, ministrone and sandwich. Food itself was excellent, to the point of faultless. Give this place a go and if you do, go there hungry as the portions are massive . Thanks for a great afternoon out"

Food was good. Service good. Strange that due to dual? owners that we had to pay for the drinks separately from the food. Also cash only which luckily we were aware of, needs to be sorted. If we are back in the area we will return for another meal.

Food was excellent today. Visited with my Mum and Sister. Mac n cheese and spaghetti n meatballs were perfect. I had potato wedges and salad which were really nice. New York cheesecake and the profiteroles were to die for. All that and three drinks for £37. Staff were so nice too Definitely be back really soon

I went with my husband, son and his partner along with their dog. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and they even give your dog fresh water and treats. My son has dietary requirements and the lady that served us was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. All the food is cooked from scratch so my son's dietary needs where not a problem. I have heard about this lovely place from friends and family but has never been myself but will defenently be back. View menu

My family and I had lunch at the Tavern today. We enjoyed some delicious pub food and had a few drinks with the kids, making for a great experience. One thing to note is that the Tavern is cash only, with no card facility. Luckily, there is a post office next door where you can withdraw cash if needed. I recommend bringing cash beforehand to avoid any inconvenience. Overall, I suggest visiting the Tavern for its reasonable prices, fast service, and pleasant atmosphere.

Kerb appeal is missing particularly from the car park entrance. However, I am glad I went in as it was a clean, warm and friendly pub. Jeanette, the waitress, bar lady and cleaner upper was run off her feet. Nevertheless, she always had a smile and looked after her customers very well. Usual pub food with the addition of wraps and other light meals and snacks. My wee dog was made welcome therefore, it was a good experience all round. Easy access for disabled. Plenty of car park spaces at the rear entrance. Table service Easy to find.
