"We popped in for a meal on a trip we took to buy wine from the Calais Wine Superstore. The Cafe De Paris offered a fixed menu for 12 euros per person of:- Choice of main courses (we had the Carbonaro which was both authentic (raw egg supplied and all) as well as completely delicious- A Drink - we opted for the 250ml wine- Coffee - a decent shot with accompanying biscuit.Service was friendly and we noticed quite a few locals dining there which is always a good sign . We will definitely pop in again on our next wine-buying trip to Calais."

Family friendly with good choice on the menu even for fussiest eaters. We had Moule and they were good quality and we enjoyed them. There is a kids menu. Nothing was any trouble.

Very welcoming place. Very friendly service. We had a table next to the open kitchen and they certainly work very hard . The food arrives quickly and is tasty. This is a true cafe/brasserie and we enjoyed our meal and shelteling from the weather. View menu

Found this place along the main stretch leading down to the harbour. It was busy but not too busy. Service was good without being either hurried or ignored. All French with a little English being spoken ; something that I feel adds to the experience. Food was excellent value for money. 2 mains and house wine for less than 40 Euro. Will be coming back again!

Catering as much for travellers as for locals, this is a handy place if you liked fairly basic options cooked well and at a good price. My wife is a fan because they will happily overcook her grilled steak or lamb chops to her liking and I am happy enough as I can enjoy fresh fish and tasty moules! Pleasant staff, good value and a good option for a satisfying simple meal.

Firstly let me say the staff were a lot of fun, engaging and attentive. The beer was hugely over priced 7euro for a large beer nearly made me choke on it! We ordered pizza and fries, only the pizza actually turned up, it was thin based and had so much topping on that the centre 3 inches was wet, soggy and inedible. The rating is purely on the staff and the fact that it was actually open when most around it were closed. View menu

We popped in as we were passing, as being the most likely local restaurant in Rue Royale to be able to cater for a vegetarian,The service was good, the food was fine, if nothing special, the ambience was standard French café/bar.I had a Salade Chèvres, which was very pleasant, and my friend a hamburger, which he said was very good, but he couldn't finish because the portion was so generous. It's nothing special or unusual, but a good value WYSIWYG café.

The restaurant had a number of people in it. The staff were friendly. They were very accommodating to our children. We ordered the 'plat du jour' dish of the day. Unfortunately they had run out of fish, but I had veal and my husband had a thin flan with ham and cheese. Both our meals were really tasty. It arrived with a choice if drink followed by tea or coffee. The children's meal had a small selection, but also came with a drink and a pudding of ice cream or crepe. The bill was under 50€ .
