"I had never heard of this place and based on the really small number of reviews lots of other people are unaware of it. It is worth visiting here as it's fine dining plus fantastic service and a great setting. Part of the issue might...be what it's called as the card has Das Bamberger Haus on it as well as zum Ferdinand, where we ate and Cia Francesco which is an Italian restaurant in the same building. Located in Luitpold Park it was a very easy 5 minute walk from Scheidplatz U bahn station on U3 and I think U2. Leave by exit F, turn right into the park and its about 2 minutes walk. Or just get a taxi as it is probably only 10 minutes or so from city centre. Food was fantastic, the sailing starter was presented really well and tasted even better. The black feathered chicken breast again looked and tasted wonderful. I am told the spinach dumpling were full of flavour and very light. The schnitzel was enormous and again very, very light and great flavour their card says best schnitzel in Munich. Next time i will go very hungry and give this a try. It is fairly expensive with main courses from €20 to €30 but it really was fine dining sitting outside in the park. When it got cold we went into the really nice main dining room. Service throughout from the 2 young ladies looking after us was superb. The only thing stopping me giving 5 starts here was outside terrace allowed smoking which is OK but it would be nice if they divided the terrace into smoking half and non smoking half, this might just provide some relief from the fumes. Will definitely go back."

Fantastic building and architecture. I had the schnitzel and that was huge but pricey at 22 Euros. Lovely atmosphere but it gets very busy so book.

The Zum Ferdinand, well known for its Wiener Schnitzel. Excellent Food. The Waiters are friendly and very helpful, multi Languages. The Indoor Area reminds you of Neu Schwanstein Just perfect . View menu

Taking Americans into an Italian restaurant is always an eye opening experience. for a start there is no sugar in the tomato sauce! this is a good example of how to prepare and serve Italian food. many anti-paper, delicious pasta and a small. but good selection of fish and meat dishes. all have washed with some excellent weeping. the limoncello is a bit strong!

Our entire dinner experience was fantastic. The ambience was perfect lighting, candles and overall decor was romantic, or perfectly set for a quiet dinner out with friends. The food was amazing we had the Spinach dumplings, Schnitzel, and Fried Chicken and these dishes...did not disappoint. We were most impressed by the fluffiness of the batter for the meat dishes, and the creative use of mushrooms with the dumplings. Also, must have the homemade bread for starters. Highly recommend this restaurant, and we would definitely come back when we visit Munich again. View menu

I felt like being transported back to Italy in an earlier holiday. the bark carpaccio must was a happy cow; my pasta was delicious! the wee recommendation fulfilled my taste. the price is absolutely fair. all in all, a wonderful restaurant. ! highlight!

we had just traveled from how to have a little bit, but apparently we were not ready to leave the wankering food back! this restaurant was very nice and eating was absolutely fantastic. we had a wonderful and unforgettable meal here. to begin, we shared the...consomme with injection and I highly recommend trying that it was so rich and comforting. for a deserving I ordered carving and my man ordered fried chicken breasts with green salad and potato salad. both were excellent, but from the two I actually thought that that was even carving. for dessert we divided a wrought pfeifenknodel, which is cheese dumplings in a plant sauce. we also had excellent weeping. the only part was that there was...
