"We got a recommendation from a local for the Le Restaurant du Comptoir for a more authentic French food. It was a delightful experience with the food exuding the flavors of French cooking ingredients. After the entrée, I ordered a dessert that, after translation, was...a cream puff with whipped cream and fresh red berries. When the waitress brought what I thought would be a petit cream puff, heads turned to see a humongous cream puff about the size of a large calzone. People must of thought of me as a glutton. I did, however, finish the whole dessert. A few days later we returned to Le Restaurant du Comptoir since it was so close to our apartment, or was it because of the fine meal we enjoyed previously... or was it because of the cream puff dessert? The restaurant is not large, but does have sidewalk seating, and there is an adjacent shop that carries foie gras, truffles, caviar and champagnes."

Recommend this place when you visit this part of Paris. Loved the Escargot, the Ravioles de foie gras and Cassouelet Gratine! For dessert recommend the Mi cuit chocolat.

Classic bistro fare in a historic old building. Some cool old murals depicting the area over 100 years ago. The steak was really tasty and prices reasonable. Well worth the stop in!

Best duck ravioli hands down, however with the creaminess of the dish can become too heavy on the stomach. Regardless it was delicious. The duck confit was on the dryer side of myself and my partners liking, being a dish we really wanted to have in Paris, it was ok. View menu

The food at this place is outstanding and very underrated. Some of the best duck dishes in Paris, very tasty, different but classic as well and with great service and ambiance. Do not miss out on the duck foie gras ravioli and the seared foie gras, very unique and delicious!

We found this place on trip advisor and weren't disappointed! We ordered the foie de grois and the escargots. Both plates were excellent. The server was incredibly attentive and gave us some good recommendations! It was a little away from the tourist areas but well...worth the walk!

We were walking home from The Louvre, and looking for a place to eat. We happened to this restaurant, and the four of us had wonderful meals of foie gras, onion soup, smoked salmon, white sausage, salmon roe, steak, baked potato, salad. All delicious and...very fairly priced, with delightful wait staff. View menu

I love this restaurant enough to write the review one year after my last visit. I dream about it constantly. Fine service, delicious duck, it is a perfect cozy atmosphere with great company. Bring your friends and family, or come alone and make a friend at the bar. The food is phenomenal. I cannot understate: you must eat duck! And the onion soup, of course!

I called ahead, they were fully booked but they said they would find a spot at the bar or outside for us. They made a wonderful table for us inside. The food was superb. The escargot has a wonderful garlic, basil sauce. The food is a delight for the tongue and the restaurant earns its name as a gastronomic delight! The duck is very flavorful, perfectly prepared and very fragrant; the sauce had rich depth. Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and pleasantly social. Cheese plate is excellent but also contains my one critique which is that the cheese should be ordered on the plate by strength so that a strongly flavored cheese does not overwhelm the pallet and make the next cheese incompreh...
