"We had an amazing evening here and tasted the special 7 course menu they were running in January for £25!! What a deal. It was really busy for a Monday night and the food is definitely the reason behind that! The crispy squid was my favourite dish the honey sauce was something out of this world. The pork gyoza was also probably the best I’ve ever had. We inhaled the food so quickly but unfortunately we were kept waiting on one of our courses for quite a bit of time. I believe we may have been forgotten about. However this didn’t spoil the evening and the food was worth the wait when it arrived. Would love to come back and the young guy that served us was fab!"

I was quite intoxicated when I arrived at this restaurant, so my judgment may have been impaired.

I have only been to this restaurant for drinks, so stay tuned for a future food review. I have heard that the sushi platter is delicious.

This restaurant has a spacious, trendy atmosphere with a great selection of craft beers. It's a perfect spot to enjoy a meal, relax, and listen to some fantastic music curated by true music enthusiasts. Definitely worth a visit. View menu

The food quality cannot justify the price at that quantity. 4 small basic pieces of Sushi for £13. Really small portion across the whole menu. The atmosphere was loud and the staff were slow. The food was not terrible but there are much better options nearby for that price if you want food.

We got the chance to look at the tasting menu and decide what we wanted to order. The food came at the right time and it was super nice and tasty. Service was good and the only reason that I’m not giving 5 stars it is because we were seated by the toilets and the e emergency exit were it was very cold

a fan of trendy, hipster spots. However, I recently decided to give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was cool and laid-back, the service was efficient and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. I loved the Asian-inspired menu and the cocktails were top-notch. I will definitely be returning to Cottonopolis in the future. View menu

The food at this restaurant was amazing! The duck dumplings and Dizzy Insecure were especially tasty. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and were dressed casually, so it took some time for them to take our orders. However, overall my fiancé and I had a great date night. The delicious food improved our evening and left us feeling satisfied for the rest of the night.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
