"Terrible, terrible and terrible. This is by far the worst place to eat in Portrush by a country mile. The old Ramada and staff were superb. This new crowd are shocking. This is my second visit, the first was terrible, poor service and sub standard food. On trip advisor they said give us another chance, so I did. How wrong was I, it was even worse if that is possible. Note; It wasn't even busy. The wait to have an order taken was unacceptable, the wait on the starter to arrive was unacceptable, the wait on the main course was so bad we paid and left, went to The Port Hotel and had a beautiful meal. So you ring to complain and there is no where else within this hotel group to complain only the general manager of the hotel?? So you complain to the very person who the buck stops with and who is not doing their job, amazing system how are things going to improve. A hotel in a town where there is a glut of good restaurants to dine at and this place is letting people walk away and have to turn to trip advisor to warn others. This crowd will answer with the same lame excuse as before, sorry you had your chance and your not getting another. Avoid people you have been warned.I had to give it one mark as it won't allow you to give it none."

This restaurant was really good before it changed hands. I will avoid it until I see improved reviews.

Had food here after long drive for weekend stayGood menu for everyone. Had steaks which were nice, but portion size disappointing. Lots better restaurants nearby.

Waiter was arrogant, very unprofessional, slammed glass on table. Pavlova was like a rock, inedible. Potato cubes were black, again inedible... Noisy and lots of screaming kids. View menu

We decided to go here for dinner as we are staying in the hotel for a couple of nights, there was a good selection of food at very reasonable prices. The staff were attentive and the service was very prompt, would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Returned for 1st time in several years, pleasantly surprised by quality of food. 3 different burgers at our table, all delicious! £7.95 with fries is very good value. Not sure of the black baps though, taste fine, but just leave them white please. 1 gluten free at our table was not a problem to the staff.

We ate at the restaurant over the Bank Holiday weekend. It was an hour wait for the table. Then it was another half an hour after we ordered for the food to arrive. The service was really poor. There were enough staff but they were not coordinated. Poorly trained. The food was really poor quality. Overcooked chips. A chilli chicken wrap which was meant to come with an Asian salad. When I asked what that was, I was told it was 'peppers '. What arrived was a chicken wrap swimming in sweet chilli sauce with iceberg lettuce on the side and nothing else. My colleague had the beef wrap. The meat was tough. We ordered saute mushrooms. They were terrible. They looked like they came out of a tin. Thi... View menu

Used to eat here regularly till it changed hands a year or so ago. While staff remained pleasant and helpful, the quality of the food went down. The early evening menu disappeared and that is a bad move in a town like Portrush, with everywhere else offering cheaper early evening menus.Went back today to give it another chance and was pleasantly surprised; while the new menu was very limited, the quality of food had improved. The waiter told us that the menu would be expanded. The wine list is from a new supplier; the Merlot was reasonably priced but not quite as good as the previous house Merlot(35 Degrees South).A bit more hopeful for the future of this place the food had improved, the staff...

Very convenient for us since we are staying at hotel to which the restaurant is attached. It was a late night supper for us so it was simple to eat here. They have a full menu of vegetarian options as well as an eclectic mix of cuisine including a couple of Asian fusion type of options like a stir fry with soy noodles. Their soup of the day was a nice vegetable pureed in broth. Not as heavy as I feared. Quite tasty in fact. The prawn and avocado salad I had for my main course had lots of small salad shrimps not the type of prawns that I envisioned but still quite good. The dressing worked well but a bit more than I usually like. It's a creamy blush coloured dressing a bit like the colour of...

"We chose this as a convenient mid point venue for a birthday celebration at the Lodge Hotel Coleraine. We were greeted by unsmiling staff and shown to our table. We made our choices. The starters arrived promptly and were OK. When the main course arrived, the waitress unfortunately overbalanced her tray and the salad with blue cheese sauce slid off into my friend's bag and all over the floor! These things happen but not once did she apologise. My other friend had chosen the nut roast. This had been over microwaved to the point of cremation. She drew it to the attention of the waitress who just looked blankly at her! She finally twigged she should ask if she'd like a replacement. Again no apology. The other two mains, fish, were uninspiringly mediocre to say the least. When we'd finished these, a waitress came up with the dessert menu and said we could choose one on the house. I chose Christmas pudding which turned out to be sponge with 6 sultanas!! My two friends wanted liquer coffees and it took 20 mins before we could attract anyone's attention. We were then told the coffee machine would be closing in 10 minutes! We got the coffee and I asked for the bill and a chat with the duty manager. The chap came and chatted to me whilst I explained our unfortunate experience. He was very apologetic. I asked him to review the bill before presenting it to us. He came back with a cheesecake with a candle in and took £5 off the bill! Never again! More training def required."

"Visited lost Found in Portstewart last Friday afternoon for some lunch. Checked the outdoor menu which stated food served until 3.30pm. Went ahead on inside. Started to briefly read the menu at the till as aware from previous visits that you order on arrival yourself at the counter. Was told by the female counter staff that we had 8 minutes to place our order and to take the menus to the table. We did this. Then when we said excuse me to the same member of staff, from our table, that we’d like to order, we were told we had to come back to the till. This made no sense whatsoever. From the moment we stepped in and were told that we had 8 minutes to order should have been the red flag I guess. Friday afternoon, not long till closing, they just didn’t want to be bothered prepping two rounds of food, The two members of staff in the premises had the worst attitude and no ounce of personality to be in the role that they are in. Every thing seemed to be a complete bother. May I also add, the food was very skimp, re portion sizes plus they seem to care more about the presentation than the food itself re the logo branded paper underneath the food. Try attempting to cut sourdough bread on this, not easy unless you want a mouthful of paper. Then when it comes to hot drinks, no sugar or milk provided. Yet again had to approach the till and ask for these to be provided with milk in a paper cup yet another couple had a glass jug of milk on their table (less dishes to wash I guess) and no white sugar at all, had to make do with brown sugar for tea. When asked for refills of hot water we were given a half full glass of this and then when asked for it to be filled up, yet again a whole botheration. Oh and don’t even get me started on the toilet facilities. Dingy to say the least. The premises in portstewart should never have reopened when it did as Lost and Found, previous owner/cafe was far more superior in all ways. Will not be back"
