"I agree with the 'swindle ' reviews below. The price to quantity is disappointing. There are upsides: The food that is served is nice in terms of quality and taste it is just under whelmingly stingy in size. The 'new ' decor is bright and chic, it feels like a good place to eat. There was a healthy buzz of custom which made it feel like a popular joint. However: I opted for the Lamb Kleftiko, a staple dish that should be a good test of any Greek restaurant. This dish alone cost £12.90 and was alarmingly just a small joint of lamb in a dish, no sides. It would be unthinkable in any other restaurant to order something at this price and have no accompaniment. We were warned by the waitress that it is designed for people to order 2 3 dishes, but this is taking the p**s. My chosen side was 'Rustic chips with oregano ' at £4.50 these would be better described as potato wedges. My friend just opted for the cheaper, normal 'chips ' which when they arrived were more what I expected 'Rustic chips ' to be, still dusted with oregano could have saved a couple of £s there! The wine was fairly pricy, opting for the lowest priced bottle of Spanish white £21) was again a disappointing experience it was evidently cheap in taste. There are much better Greek restaurants out there ones that fully embrace the spirit of Xenia. If you 're coming here be prepared to be a cash cow. Between three of us we had a small starter, a meat dish and a side, with a bottle of wine. This cost £85. We won 't be rushing back...."

A fab place , our first time, service was exceptional attentive but not overbearing. Nothing too much trouble very informative about the menu wine. The food was fab. A really great place and I will be sure to revisit have recommended it to others already.

Had an enjoyable time at Cuzina. Small amount of on-street parking. Friendly service, need to book table in advance though. Pricey but variety of tasty food options. Really enjoyed the Greek dips and sweet chilli chicken. The potato portion was nice but quite small though. Desserts and drinks were really tasty. Was a great place to go for a special occasion! One of the best options for quality-price in Nottingham. Dips, pita, and moussaka are simply amazing. After renovation, the atmosphere further improved. Sometimes a bit cold in winter. Once disappointing experience with the octopus (which was my favourite dish): it was overcooked and solid as a rock. Impossible to eat. Despite that, this still remains one of my favourite picks in Nottingham.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food at this restaurant. The portion sizes were generous, the lamb was tender and flavorful, and the prawns and octopus were excellent. The cocktails were also top-notch and I found the prices to be reasonable. The only drawback was the service, which was not terrible but could be improved. We felt like we had to constantly seek out the staff to place our orders, despite the fact that the restaurant was not busy. Nevertheless, the staff were friendly.

We spend 84.40 that obviously wasn’t worth because portions was ridiculously small . I am Greek so I know how a Greek food should be cooked and how the portion should be specially when the prices are so expensive. I ordered a wrapped chicken gyros and it was the most awful wrapped I ever had because the meat was cooked and marinated like a stew. My partner ordered lamp paidakia that they cost a fortune and he been served 3 pieces of lamp kind of ribs with the actual meat was 1 bite and the rest was bone . I ordered a water melon margarita for 9£ and the glass was small and not cocktail glass and I was barely could taste the alcohol. The Dakos salad was very tasty but the portion was like a j... I visited Cuzina with my friend Dawn before going to the TakeThat concert. We were a little early for our booking but it was no problem and our table was soon ready. The food was amazing. We had dips and bread for starters followed by a few tapas dishes. Everything was fresh and hot. Having read reviews previously I was expecting the portions to be small but they were huge. So much so that I apologised to the server that we hadn’t been able to eat it all because we were full and not that we didn’t like it . Talking about the server. Well she was so fantastic. Such a nice friendly young lady .We were told her name was Edie by another member of staff. Nothing was too much trouble and she even...

We got there and everything seemed fine until we were ready to order drinks. There was about 6 staff that was all talking by the open kitchen and there was no acknowledgment with us sat there even though we were all looking over. Eventually someone came over from the cocktail bar area and took our orders for food and drinks. We got everything on the table we asked for mayonnaise three times to the same girl and she kept saying yes but was stood with her back to the wall of the open kitchen again with some of the other staff just wondering around looking for glasses to take off tables eventually we got the mayonnaise after waiting so long. We ate and finished and table wasn’t cleared for a go...

"We live about 25 miles from East Bridgford and have friends who live nearby and also in Newark on Trent, and have once previously called in to the Royal Oak for a drink. Today however we had lunch with our friends and it was absolutely marvellous. I had reviewed the menu beforehand and it looked good but I was expecting decent pub fare. My expectations were exceeded. The meals we enjoyed were superb restaurant quality and tasted delicious. This marvellous food was matched with friendly relaxed and happy service which always makes a good meal go very well. I had a lovely light starter of three types of beetroot with goats cheese in a light dressing which was fresh and very, very tasty. To follow, I chose a smoked haddock with green beans in a mustard cream sauce which perfectly cooked and was better than delicious. It was sublime. (It’s normally served with new potatoes but I am avoiding potatoes . My friends variously enjoyed tempura king prawns with chilli dip, braised lamb with mashed potato, steak and ale pie, and fish and chips and one even made it to a sticky toffee pudding finale. Everything was enjoyed. The invisible team in the kitchen deserve 11/10 for the food offer and the full Royal Oak team get five stars+ from us for the whole experience. We will be back. (PS. I’m going to try and recreate that smoked haddock dish at home Any tips on the mustard sauce?"

"I'll start with the positives. The interaction I had on Facebook to book a table, and then change the booking, was very positive. The two young waitresses who served us were great. The pub is shabby with rubbish and cigarette butts scattered outside the door...and a smell of smoke in the doorway. The décor is tired and tatty, and the bench seat in the restaurant area has a big split in it. The floor of the restaurant had bits of food and other rubbish on it. The salt and pepper and vinegar bottle didn't look like they'd been cleaned for a few days. The food was uninspiring, and mostly overcooked. The Yorkshire puddings were burnt black and were mostly inedible (when we commented on this, the waitress said she was too scared of the chef to say anything to him). The roast potatoes were hard and tough. The vegetables (not enough for 6 of us from one dish) were not great and the cauliflower cheese was the most uninspiring I've had for a long time. The lamb was OK, but that's all I can say about it. The whole menu (apart from a goat's cheese salad) was dull and unimaginative, even allowing for the fact that for Sunday lunch on Mother's Day most people want roasts. We didn't bother staying to have desserts. I thought from the TripAdvisor reviews that we were going to a gastropub, or a pub with a super restaurant. It was like having a meal in a pub 30 years ago, which is fine if that's what you want. It was a dreadful experience and not at all the way we wanted to celebrate my son's birthday and Mother's Day. We will not go back again."
