Food was excellent and had a real authentic greek taste. Takes me back to the food that I have had in Greece.The family who run this are amazingly friendly

We enjoyed the excellent food and warm friendly service. We liked the well-spaced tables. We had a very enjoyable evening and will return when we stay nearby, which we often do.

Very relaxed, delicious food and a great end to lovely hot day. Family-run and engaging with customers creates a nice homely atmosphere. We are definitely coming back again and again!

A warm welcome from the staff . Restaurant was empty but didn’t spoil our visit. Super lamb kleftico . Open despite trip advisor saying it was closed! Sadly I was full or would have had a desert. I would highly recommend and revisit if I was in the area.

We have visited Athens and Ios in the spring of 2023. Demetrios is every bit as welcoming and offers delicious and authentic Greek food. Great food, great wine, great service. We were so well looked after by the owner and her staff. We were staying locally but will definitely return. Fantastic restaurant

We were staying in a rented house nearby and looking for somewhere good to eat one evening. We had a really delicious meal at Demetrios. I have Coeliac Disease so we weren't sure whether or not they could cater for me but it was no problem and they couldn't have been more helpful. We can't recommend thr restaurant more highly. We're just thinking of booking the same house next year so will definitely return if we do!

Arrived after a 2 hour drive that was well worth it. I called ahead of our visit as the fish was so good last time I wanted the same quality again. This time I went for sea bass and was not disappointed. All the food was put together so well and was hot, which is not what you get in some restaurants. Pat, Eva and Leah made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. I wish that it was closer as would then go more often. Looking forward to our next visit.

We went as a family for a meal at Demetrios last Saturday night. Wonderful family who own the restaurant,Wonderful food,Wonderful welcome. Ate outside as a nice evening. Had a baby with us and they were more than willing to warm baby's dinner. Best moussaka I've ever had all cooked fresh there same as all other food they serve. We rented a bungalow across the road from restaurant. We live in Essex but would definitely return if in that area again. Thank you all for such a lovely time .....

Came here for my mums birthday, and it certainly lived up to their reviews to date! A friendly greeting awaits in a calm and peaceful atmosphere in this family run restaurant, staff were amazing and were welcoming, flexible and always on hand, we had our 5 month year old with us In A buggy and it was no problem at all for them to accommodate him! The food from start to finish was brilliant, some of the best halloumi, calamari prawn cocktail we’ve ever had! The lamb was so great! It literally fell apart! The chicken was so tasty! The baklava was so delicious! They do accommodate for gluten free and other requirements! They staff were very happy to allow us to bring in a cake for a happy birth...
