"Other than excellent service at the bar in the evening, the overall service was very poor. We booked breakfast and paid up front for our 2 days. On arrival at the desk on day one, we waited several minutes before we were acknowledged, we were then shown to a table but not advised where the food was. Whilst eating, we then watched a member of staff clean a table, whilst holding the cutlery in her armpit!! and remove it by the tines and knives by the tip and spoons by the bowl!! no gloves were worn. The second day, again despite booking and pre paying we waited in a long queue whilst the staff member dealt with people who hadn 't booked or pre paid. It would have made sense to ask which of us had booked and paid and dealt with first. I mention to a staff member that they were about to run out of plates and her reply was I know, we 're running out of everything Chaotic and badly organised, too few staff, overcooked scrambled egg, burnt croissants, not a good experience."

It was good but they was not a lot of stuff to pick from, if they had added a bit more to the menu it would be better. Definitely needs to explore a variety of different foods

Had many brilliant meals here, highly recommended the steak or fish and chips! We're always greeted with friendly cheerful members of staff who are always helpful.. Great covid control, and one way system.

We came to view the area to see if this is the place to retire. This was all made easier with the staff who were very helpful, Sam on reception at the premier inn gave us a great insight on the area and Ryan who was our waiter made us feel very welcome, along with Emily who served us the next day, the food was well prepared, presented and always hot and served with a smile, if we decide to live here then we would definitely use the restaurant .

I had prebooked one of the five meals in advance as our son is severely autistic, and as part of his routine, he has his evening meal at 5 PM every day. However, what I requested over the phone two days prior had not been conveyed to the kitchen staff. Seeing my concern, Izzy quickly improvised and said she would make his meal a priority. She also provided a quick snack while we waited. The main meals quickly followed and were cooked to perfection. We had a very pleasant evening with lots of laughs and enjoyed the calm atmosphere and competent service from Izzy and her team. We happily left a tip and will be sure to return again soon. Our family life isn’t exactly normal, and we have to plan...

"we wanted to visit the midlands and family for the first time since Christmas and in the frame of the visit I decided that we would take my mother for a nice Sunday dinner. she lives in telford and I am not familiar with the contrary so that I am on tripadvisor for ideas. I mean, I was looking for restaurants in Telford and sorted by rating; clays of broseley was the best from the list and that was what I booked. it is about a minute drive from my mother place through a beautiful shropshire landscape. we arrived in broseley a little early and found a parking space right in front of the restaurant. we were invited to take place on the terrace while they opened and had some drinks. I had a fantastic homemade limonade with glittering water, my mother had a Rhabarb juice that was so delicious that we were strolling home with us and my wife had a very nice pot tee. we had booked a table that had been placed in the restaurant for us, but we were offered the table on the terrace for lunch, which we liked to accept as the weather was perfect. we all ordered from the midday card, which for two courses and for three courses was a fantastic bargain. I ordered salmon and hake meatcakes with delicate brokolli, spargas and a white wine sauce and my wife and mother both ordered the beef Sirloin roast dinner. I was so impressed with eating. honestly, this restaurant lives up to all reviews. the ingredients were fresh and tasty and not refined as they get some places. to dessert my mother and I both had the rhubarb and custard' and playful plate that rhubarb compott, gelee, vanilla cream and small mygues combined crazy. the perfect end for every afternoon. during the meal were the employees (I'm sorry to say that I didn't get their names) attentive and friendly. our month old sohn, henry, has a stinking cold and has teethed, so was not on his best behavior, but the staff was fantastic with him. They even went so far that they broke out one of their dogs, a beautiful, huge dog called barney, for henry's entertainment. to cover everything, and this is great for parents of small children, they had a full baby change unit, complete with diapers, wipes and unhappy bags! I can honestly say I've never seen this before. all in all, for three nets, two desserts and drinks, the bill came less than unnecessary to say, I intend to visit again when we are close. I really can't wait."
