"I live in Trier and usually have sushi every Wednesday after a good ballet workout, to get loaded on protein and a healthy meal. I'm a regular at Sushi Trier, which is on my way home. The food is awesome, even though the price is...rather on the higher side. Imagine my disappointment when I found out this week that they were closing for 3 weeks for summer vacation! In desperation, I even went to a supermarket at 9 pm to try to find a bento box, or ANYTHING that would satiate my sushi cravings, with no luck (I ended up buying smoked salmon talk about desperate The next day, I started to search for other sushi joints in Trier, and found Fuji Sushi Bar. The good reviews gave me something to look forward to, so I headed down there immediately after work. A truckload of goodies was already circulating on the kaiten-sushi belt at 7 pm, and the restaurant had a good number of patrons despite the early hour for dinner. The atmosphere was nice and the staff quite friendly. At 10 EUR for a take-out box of decent size (normally this is an all-you-can-eat place), I thought this was a fair price, especially compared to Sushi Trier (a dinner platter ON SALE will cost you at least 17 EUR). However, once I got home and after tasting the salmon sashimi and maki rolls, all my good impressions of Fuji Sushi Bar vanished. The fish tasted rubbery, and with no flavor whatsoever, as if it had been delivered frozen and then thawed. The sticky rice was not any better. I literally had to force it into my mouth (the consistency was paste-like, not pearly and firm). The only redeemable thing about the meal was the seaweed salad, which is the standard frozen one that you get in every place. In the end, I decided to leave 1/2 of the raw salmon in the fridge to cook it the next day, as I could not bring myself to eat it. I write this with a very disappointed and heavy heart, as I really wanted to find a good place for sushi in Trier that would not be as expensive as Sushi Trier. Even though I travel to several countries and places, but due to lack of time I have not posted any reviews, this time I felt compelled to do it, due to my experience in the very place where I live. If you are looking for a place that is not expensive, this is your establishment. However, be aware that you get what you pay for (or even less If you want to taste something fresh, delicious, and remotely decent as far as sushi goes, then pony up some money and go to Sushi Trier. At least you will have a good food experience."

It's very cheap compared to other places in Europe and it's better than the average sushi restaurant! If you are a student, go there for lunch running sushi for only euros!

Good deal for all you can eat but if you just want a small to medium portion you should try Sushi Trier. It is unfortunately very small and in the main tourist district so it is always packed and its closed on Mondays. Ik kan er niet aan wennen, sushi op een lopende band waar je af kunt pakken wat je wil.. Er blijven gerechten te lang staan waardoor je beter niet te lang na openingstijd kunt gaan eten.Sommige sushicombi's waren vreemd, gefrituurde sushirol met uitjes en binnen in de rijstrol kaas met tonijn? De vleespasteitjes waren positieve uitschieter. Al met al goed om snel veel te eten, echt heerlijk wordt het niet.

This is the best sushi go round we have found outside of Japan. We had the all you can eat buffet service and definitely got our monies worth! The service was awesome, the food was fresh and varied. They even made some Ikura sushi for...my six year old her favorite food at lunch even though it is usually only on the dinner menu. The price was reasonable, decor is simple and tasteful. We look forward to going back again
