"We had a lovely fish and chip dinner from here, we were staying nearby so took it back with us. The chips were delicious and the fish was fresh. You can choose a large or medium cod, I had the medium and my husband had the large, but I think I could have managed the large fish too, the medium was quite small. The batter was very light and tasty, not thick and greasy. We hadn't got any vinegar or ketchup at our apartment (holiday rental) and they very generously provided all the vinegar and sauce sachets we could need. It was freshly cooked, so we didn't mind waiting for it and it was worth waiting for. We wouldn't hesitate to buy our fish chips from here again."

How can a chippy with a queue/large turnover, cooking it from scratch, turn out such poor food? Chips were full of scraps, fish overcooked, greasy and small. Won't return.

We ordered dinner from here, the chips were too greasy, my 12 year old had a battered sausage, several hours later she started being violently sick for the most of the night. Will never ever order from here again AVOID!

No dogs allowed nowhere to sit outside, lady serving not friendly, my 3 girls told they couldn’t eat inside despite it being empty and dining area clearly open with tables and chairs (I was outside with dog). Chips- small portion dried up old **** for £3.50 a portion! Save your money and go elsewhere!

Visited here Saturday Afternoon. Bought a haddock and chips meal and my girlfriend had a portion of chips. The chips were lukewarm and not tasty at all. Saving grace was my freshly cooked haddock. If this is the best Eastbourne has to offer by way of Fish Chips, then how sad. I thought seafront were meant to be famous for quality chips. View menu

After reading the review, I decided to give the chip shop a chance. However, they far surpassed my expectations in being the worst chip shop I have ever visited. My portion of chips consisted of mostly scraps, and the fish was very greasy. I have never been served salt and vinegar from sachets before. Perhaps this is a common practice in Eastbourne?

All oily, not utterly fresh fish and so expensive to pay for. Couldn't eat it... delusional. It is a Pittyful thing as the restaurant looks so pretty from the outside and is located in Eastbourne stunning pier. Really bad propaganda for the area...a shame as I was expecting to eat a good crispy and lovely fish and chips and it was actually just the opposite!!
