"We had high expectations for our visit to Ginger White, driven by the positive buzz surrounding the cafe and recommendations from friends. However, our experience on Sunday morning left us underwhelmed and questioning the acclaim. Our journey to the cafe was fraught with challenges, thanks to disruptions on the tube. Despite these hurdles, we arrived eager to enjoy our meal. Unfortunately, our first impression was marred by the unwelcoming attitude of the staff. Understandably, they seemed overwhelmed, but their rudeness and apparent bad mood were off-putting. Once seated (following a long wait) there was a lenghty delay as we waited for service. When we finally managed to place our order, the anticipation was met with disappointment following the arrival of our food. The much-touted poached eggs turned out to be bland and devoid of the expected flavor. Even in my hunger, I couldn't bring myself to finish them. The bacon, seemingly shredded into indiscernible pieces, appeared as if it had been hastily cut at the bottom of a vat. To make matters worse, the bread was burnt and hard, making it a real challenge to eat. While we understand that establishments can have off days, the overall experience left us questioning the hype surrounding this cafe. It's disheartening to think that our journey may not have been worthwhile. We struggled to comprehend what all the fuss was about, given the lackluster quality of the food and service. In an attempt to salvage our meal, we forced ourselves to consume what was edible. Regrettably, we left the cafe as soon as possible, settling the bill amidst the rain. It's a massive shame that our much-anticipated visit to Ginger White turned out to be such a letdown."

We've lived in the area for a year and a half and finally just visited. Great shakes and sandwiches. Will be back again and can't wait to try their coffee!

I had a very disappointing experience at this cafe. First of all, all of the staffs are very unkind and rude. One of the staff just looked at me and laughed. I have no idea why did she laugh. In addition, they give me a water bottle which was rust. Inside the water bottle I could see rust marks. I looked around, only my water bottle was dirty, probably because I am asian. So I didn't drink water. I felt like I was being racially discriminated against, so I ate my food quickly and left. It's a pity that I had a bad experience at a place I went to with high expectations.

Went here for a weekend brunch with two friends recently. Although the food was quite nice (amazing protein shakes! , the cafe is ridiculously cramped. The owner should really think about starting to take reservations instead of only walk ins: the 20 minute wait was fine, but the tightness of the tables and lack of space was really uncomfortable. We were given a table for two people for a party of three for brunch. When we moved halfway through the meal to a corner table that had slightly more space (after checking with a waitress , the manager/owner confronted us about this and suggested we were lying that we had asked permission to move. A charming, cosy cafe with great coffee and an excellent atmosphere. My friend and I came on a Tuesday morning and decided to sit outside (heating and blankets provided! , and we were served served almost immediately. The cafe was definitely quite busy inside some customers were working alone on laptops, but it was mostly filled with families and friends chatting over breakfast. All the staff were incredibly friendly and chatty, and made sure you had what you needed without being overbearing or rushing you.
