"As part of our quest to explore local eateries we have not visited before, we made a reservation here for a Sunday evening. The menu offers a wide variety of options at reasonable prices. We started with the nachos, which were excellent, followed by the steak pie filled with tender and flavorful steak, and the fish platter featuring prawns, salmon, and haddock. We managed to save some room for the homemade profiteroles drizzled with hot chocolate sauce, which were a delightful treat. The dishes were delicious and presented beautifully. Our server was friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service. We highly recommend this restaurant and believe it is worth a visit."

Recommended by owners of our one night stay at a local B&B we had a lovely meal with first class friendly service, reasonable prices, friendly staff, cosy warm atmosphere. It ticked all the boxes. We hope to return again when next in the area.

What a fabulous night we had at the Glencarse! Mike and Lena’s hospitality was second to none. Breakfast and Dinner were both delicious with the sticky toffee pudding being a particular favourite! Rooms were gorgeous and beds so comfy. We look forward to visiting again

Owners are kind enough to let us take our well behaved greyhound, George, and eat in the bar, there is a restaurant hotel (no dogs). Food is wonderful, freshly cooked and I imagine sourced locally . There is also a grassed beer garden area. Would recommend booking ahead if you are taking a dog.

I had my birthday dinner on Saturday night at this restaurant. The menu had a great selection of food. I particularly enjoyed my starter of haggis fritters, they had a delicious taste. The staff were really friendly and provided excellent service. Overall, we all had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant and pub were completely booked but they were able to accommodate our group of eight. A few of us had the pepper steak special and it was the worst steak I ever had. It was so tough that I couldn't even chew it, let alone eat it. Others had the surf and turf and said it was very good.

We had a fantastic dinner at Glencarse on Sunday night. Every staff member was kind and attentive, taking our temperature upon entry and ensuring tables were well spaced out. The food was exceptional, with options from a limited menu (due to Covid) and specials that left us all satisfied. The highlight was the incredible Strawberry cheesecake. Despite calling last minute for a table of 6, they were able to accommodate us without any issues. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant, whether as a perfect stop while traveling or if staying nearby.

We booked the 5 rooms at Glencarse for 4 nights as we were attending a wedding at the Byre at Inchyra.Everyone was so pleased and satisfied with both the accommodation which is all new and the hotel where we ate .The rooms are either twinbedded or double and come with all the amenities you come to expect. The restaurant was superb ,the menu varied, a very wide choice of great starters , mains and desserts to choose from and really fairly priced .Then there were the breakfasts such a varied choice again ,everything so fresh and delicious. The locals in the bar were a great crowd and we would love to return to explore the surrounding area
