"Food is mostly delicious and well made. Unfortunately, the portions are extremely small, especially the appetizers (14.50. for three tiny zucchini shakers? Pros: Kleftiko: very tasty (but very small part, with a small slice of potato garnish, for 36. Bifteki: tasty and well dimensioned, but the yarn again small. Most appetizers are delicious (but small and cost approx. 15. Friendly and reliable service Beautiful atmosphere, looks like a traditional Greek koutouki without the kitchy clichés that you often see in Greek restaurants abroad. Negative: tiny parts (for the price). Definitely not greek size gigantes (giant bean appetizer definitely comes from a tin. Trying really bad. Gemista: We have an average filled pepper and a very small filled tomatoes. Unacceptable. You choose the largest tomatoes on the market for this dish. Only a brand of Greek beer available. Very sad, especially with so many large Greek microbrewery, producing excellent product in recent years Mousaka: good portion, but not traditionally made. Unfortunately, a la minute approach lacks the depth of the taste of the authentic dish. Gyros does not come from a rotating meat skewer. It is instead pan roasted pieces of meat. It's not even Gyros."

Very fine authentic Greek cuisine, everything freshly prepared! Very friendly service, wine by the glass, fine desserts, good pita bread (with zatziki, fine) Eating outside in summer! Go!

Food, wine and service were all very nice. The fish platter was massive and had 4 different types of fish filets. If I could change one thing it would be the way the fish is prepared while tasty it was all pan seared. Maybe having some of them grilled would make this dish a bit less heavy. Other than that it was yummy

Schade!

The very first time we were here, the food was ok, although we got no bread for the hummous and the other sauces. We've been asked to wait for the bread to arrive, but it never did, actually. Despite of this disappointing hepisode (the bread when eating greek is one of things i love the most), we decided to go again for dinner. It was late (10pm) and we've been told we only could have cold dishes and the gyros. We decided to go for it: dolmadakia as entrée and gyros as main dish. Well, the Dolmadakia were kind of melted. We asked why, and they took them back saying the chef put them too long in the oven... then we finally had the famous gyros. Probably the worst I've ever had in my life, AND...

"This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."
