"The menu at Habit was basic and limited, and we opted for the crab toast to start. While the dish was visually unappealing due to its grey color, the taste was not unpleasant although the fennel overpowered the avocado. Our main course of fish and thrice cooked chips was satisfactory, but the chips were soggy and lacked the desired crispiness. The mushy peas, although flavorful, had an unnatural bright green hue. Service at Habit was efficient and friendly, perhaps compensating for the lack of ambience. The total bill, which included a glass of wine each, was reasonable at £50. However, I believe there are better dining options available for a similar price. I hope Davy's will improve the quality of their food and enhance the overall atmosphere to attract more customers and regain the popularity they once held in the 1980s."

Lavish Habit is a gorgeous cafe 5 minutes' walk from Balham station, and it doubles up as a quirky vintage-y store.

I love a good local spot! The toasted sandwiches featuring chili jam are delicious, the perfect pairing to a strong cup of Monmouth coffee. View menu

If you want a great experience for breakfast, I'm not sure if I would choose Habit. It's probably better than dinner. It melted from beer and was still cleaned by the celebrations last night when we arrived at Brunch at 10:30 a.m. on weekday. We were the only ones. The food was simple, but nice, like the service. We all ordered the avocado on toast with a fried egg and it was just that, without ruffles. 4 discs from Avocado... I think they stretched out 1 avocado between us all four. It was convenient for the location... central London.

This is part of the Davy Wine Bar Chain, next to Fenchurch Street Station. As such, I would have expected people in the bar on a Friday night. Instead, there was a small group watching football on TV and nothing else. We had the dining area to ourselves (no other ate there all night) and yet the burger of my companion was still burned when he was served and had to be sent back. My food was good, but it spoiled the evening something that we don't eat together! The only saving grace was the service was good, the waitress was also covered by the bar, so I beg to think what happened when the place was busy!! and the 2 4 1 offer on the food (although we had to point out this again because the ori...
