"Firstly let me say that we were grateful to find somewhere to have dinner that was walking distance from my mother's house. The local pub is dying and this is a bad thing. That being said, this is not a good example of a local pub. My pie was overcooked and dry. It reminded me of the cheap steak pies that I bought from Tesco as a student 40 years ago. The service was ok for me but my mum claimed that they were often rude and once they ripped her off giving her the more expensive dinner menu version of the fish and chips instead of the lunch menu version despite it being lunchtime. The locals were loud and were watching football in the restaurant area. On the plus side the prices were ok and the tables were clean."

Food is amazing, from snacks to Sunday dinners. A huge variety of drinks on offer, the staff are knowledgeable and go out of their way to help.

Sunday roast was very good, the lady behind the bar, and serving us, was attentive and made us feel very welcome; despite being very busy herself.

We visited here for a meal whilst visiting family. We reserved a table easily and I had the steak pie meal with coffee. Really nice. Been before and would go again.

Nicely presented food and very tasty however the carvery beef and veg was warm, had the hot apple pie and custard, it was not hot, will try again as staff are friendly and food is good, just needs to be hot.

Many happy memories of The Harrows, visiting with family and friends over the years. The pub has undoubtedly suffered over the years with the supermarkets and their cheap alcohol sales. The pub isn't what it once was but manages still to be a reasonably amiable pub that does what it says on the tin. The food is affordable and perfectly ok. While the atmosphere is simply that of a typical pub and a typical pub. You won't be disappointed but you won't hurry back either.

"Very good. this renovated and updated gastro pub has a beautiful, high-end feeling, without too posh. the personal is pleasant, real and well maintained. good drink selection! music selection didn't seem fit, but not extraordinarily. eating is exceptional, but, based on some personal preferences, there were slightly smaller disappointments with each dish. all were presented beautifully! the scallop starter was perfectly cooked, but there was an unexpected sticky texture on the sea red side. the chilis needed something sweet to balance them, but it was a nice warm pop. the acid from the grapefruit mixed with the petersilie mayonnaise drizzle, but both were delicious. some either flash-frozen or dry germinated greens gave beautiful texture, and the dish as a whole was beautiful. the duck ice starter was rich without being hard. slowly boiled (inspiring sous vide,) the egg was perfect. it was on a bed of slowly baked cheekwange, which is longing! some picking mushrooms have also added beautiful acid contrast. the brioche disc on which everything sat was not my favorite, but again can be personal preference. it seemed too thick, dense and sweet for the court. either would have been a nice sourded or an airy crawling cut my choice. again a very tasty dish. the healbutt main was absolutely wonderful! in butter lubricated, with fennel, white asparagus, a butter sauce with raw and squid-ink pasta. all with dill fronds. only small critique was the toughness of the tips of the braided fennel without knife, which is suitable for cutting through. a unique and very pleasant experience! it was great."
