"We ended our Tuscany visit in a hotel near the Milan airport to assure we made our morning flight. One of the hotel staff recommended Il Castigo and we were so glad she did. It was one of--if not THE--best dining experiences of our trip. We arrived on a Monday night right after opening and the owner said we got the last unreserved table. He and other members of the staff were very attentive and friendly. The restaurant interior is charming, with a real old world feel. The food, the drinks and the wine were all excellent. Il Castigo turned what could have been a melancholy last night in Tuscany into a celebration. Grazie per tutti, Il Castigo!"

hi, being in the area, a noon me and my family have lunched in this restaurant in the middle of the Lombard sum in front of the castle. the place is nice and welcoming and also staff. good and sought after food. prices are in line with quality even if for someone it might seem high. I'd come back. recommended recommended

excellent restaurant at the foot of the castle, in a charming location...bel local with exposed brick hall, intimate and harvested, and a dehor on the square in front of the summer...visit the particularly warm day we opted for the interior room, definitely fresher and secluded.. .menù with few courses (which I highly appreciate, synonymous with attention to the dishes proposed,) well balanced between meat and fish, well presented and tasty dishes. . . courteous and professional service (perhaps a little too celeri in shooting and/or taking away the dishes, if you had not yet finished,) absolutely adequate account, highly recommended!
