"One of the best Indian foods I 've ever had in a while. Yes it is expensive but it is so worth it for the quality, service, and ambience. Having born and brought up in India, I know how Indian food should taste like and this place has done a really great job at different dishes. We ordered the garlic naan, prawn masala, and murgh kadai. Both the dishes tasted so good! Upon request, they graciously provided me with red onions chillies with chat masala on the top at no charge. If you 'd like, you can also ask for Tap water , which is typically provided at no charge. We also ordered a couple cocktails and they were made perfect. I really hope we get to go back there when we return to Heidelberg again. Note similar to review below, please ignore negative reviews. It must be a fluke in their case."

Good option in Heidelberg. Fantastic location especially after hiking on the Philosopher's way.

The best Indian restaurant in Heidelberg period. Tried numerous places and the quality of food at this place was the best. Wonderful ambience and decor too!

Just disregard any bad reviews. I'm a big fan of Indian and have had tried many many Indian Restaurants all over the world. Pleasant environment, nice design and the food is delicious. Delicately prepared and very fresh with high quality ingredients. Definitely the best Indian food I've had in Germany (yes I know the bar might not be set so high...

Beautiful setting just over the bridge from the Bismarkplatz (Old Town/Hauptstraße). Friendly, English-speaking staff. Rogan Josh uncharacteristically mild, panek paneer had no visible (i.e. larger) pieces of paneer. More expensive than I'm used to paying for Indian food, but that's maybe a function of the Heidelberg tourist mentality btw they do accept AmEx, unlike most restaurants in the area.

This is the first Indian I had in Heidelberg and I was VERY happy to have found it (its across the bridge in Neuenheim). I have since found better food but you cannot go wrong at Moghul. The food is fresh, delicious and piping hot. The staff are helpful and speak English well. The room is beautiful and the tables are all very nice. I think the pricing is a bit on the high side. Top prices for Indian food is not something I'm accustomed to paying. Its a nice experience with great food but a bit expensive.

Well......if you can find this hidden gem by the bridge, it will be worth the effort. Decor as Indian Royalty. Blue velvet on white. Gold Trim. My best Indian meal, ever. Custom made Prawn (shrimp) Vindaloo. And a custom yellow curry over shrimp. All over rice with garlic nann. And a wonderful red from chili. This meal was a C note, and worth it. We actually rate our meals , this is the third ten rated meal in 7 Weeks of travel. And I never give a ten. Thank you Mustaffa. You made it memorable with the educational details you gave me. You give honor to being a waiter. Really, 5 languages... !!
