"To take advantage of yesterday's lukewarm summer evening, we decided to dine out and ideally outdoor. After some of our first points of contact turned out to be complete, we will take a look at the Bombay directly at the Domplatz. However, this choice was very good after all. The service was fast and very friendly. The food was served within 10 minutes, fresh and hot. There was rice and Naan bread. Both dishes tasted excellent (Chicken Mango Curry and Chicken in Mandel Cashew Curry . The only minus point for me was the very high price for the open Indian wine. Hey, I had to try it. But was below average and for 4,50EUR the glass you get better wine in Erfurt VIEL. Well, it was worth a try: drink something else! There was another mango liqueur, which also tasted well and which I would prefer at any time Ouzo and consorts."

Unfriendly stuff and pricy food. I've been to better Indian restaurants. In overall though, food's flavor was okay.

This restaurant has a lot of tables the service is good and the people nice. The food is good, but there have been way better Indian restaurants I have been before. For the average quality of the dishes, prices are quite high.

Surprising big restaurant in centre of Erfurt with good prices, nice staff and quick service. All dishes are served with rice. Business lunch set meals offered as well. The food could be more tasteful for indian restaurant, perhaps more for local taste. Anyway it is...a nice option if you are looking for vegetarian food. View menu

Through many positive reviews, I tried this restaurant and did not go to my favorite Indian in Erfurt and honestly regret it. The chicken dish with exotic fruits was cooked with canned fruits (and that for more than 15€ and my vegetable dish was unfortunately nothing special and could not convince me. Also the staff was not particularly friendly. Nevertheless, the ambience was very pleasant and we had a look at the illuminated cathedral.

One of a few restaurants open on Christmas Eve, they were very welcoming and the food was served fast and hot! Since we arrived so late, they were accomodating in recommending dishes based on our preferences (ie, not real spicy). We ordered the Bhuna Chicken...and Palak Paneer both plates were excellent! We ended our evening with a stroll around the city center, which was directly out the door nice spot to continue a city tour or a quick lunch stop. Recommended.

With good luck we got the last free table, because all the restaurants were fully booked through the Christmas market and no table was actually available without reservation. The service was very friendly, the food was rich and tastefully good and can be ordered in different degrees of sharpness. Despite the many guests, we only waited for about 20 minutes to eat. Prices are also OK we have with 4 persons incl. Drinks 65, € paid. Overall, we can highly recommend the Bombay. View menu

The restaurant is mostly kept in green and has a welcoming and cozy appearance. The lunch ticket with cheap offers is valid until 5 pm! In the afternoon we could eat very cheaply for 7 euros per dish. We chose Lamb Subji lamb and vegetables in curry sauce with salad, raita, rice and naan. The food was served as a dish. It just tasted great. Starting with the yellow-coloured rice over the piquant lamb, the yogurt, the crisp salad and the bread. A better value for money is hardly to be experienced. Also friendly service. What more do you want?

The Bombay at the Domplatz. First of all, the prominent location is an indication that prices are not the cheapest. It is not expensive, however. At the latest, when the dishes reach the table, the apparently high prices are again quite moderate. The various curry variations are recommended, ranging from fruity to sharp, Indian cuisine. Overall, the menu is on average from the size I have already experienced more extensive offers. The portions are appropriately large, the service is fast and friendly there is nothing to complain about. Overall, however, the Bombay only achieves a slightly above-average rating, as prices could be quite lower without paying enough the value of food and service...
