"Ingram Wynd is a stunning restaurant in the Merchant City in Glasgow. Decorated with huge ornate mirrors and beautiful artwork, this establishment caters for people looking for Scottish food with a fine dining twist. There is an extensive wine list and drinks list avaliable in Ingram Wynd. They also do a mixture of cocktails ranging from 5-8 pounds, standard mixology such as Cosmopolitans and Manhattans. We plumped for a lovely bottle of the Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile which was reasonable at 18 pounds considering it was ****** marvellous! We dined A La Carte last night and were treated to a lovely Ham Hock Terrine and a Parmesan Soup for our starters. The terrine was scrumptious and more-ish while there was not a drop of soup left which was perfectly accompanied by flash fried sprigs of cauliflour. For our mains we had the Honeyroasted Duckling with Toulouse Sauseages and the Glazed Ox Cheek with Truffled Potato Puree and Wilted Spinach. The duck was devine and accompanied the thick, sauseage slices wonderfully, but the ox cheek was by far the best dish of the night; falling apart like butter it satisfied the eyes and the belly! For desert we had a Dark Chocolate Hazelnut And Rum Parfait with Vanilla Ice Cream and a Rice Pudding Panacotta with with Roasted Fruits and Caramel Ice Cream. Both of which were beautifully prepared and tasted like a heart attack but completely worth it! A cracking wee find in the Merchant City and good if you're heading out for a special occasion of else you just have some money to burn. 3 course meal with a bottle of wine and two after dinner drinks came to 75 pounds, but worth every penny and tip."

Went here on Saturday for the first time. Had a lovely experience here, food was mouthwatering and service first class. The menu offered traditional Scottish food such as beer battered fish and chips.

Booked the £12.95 per person two course meal. Was seated 25 minutes before anyone came near us. Waited 15 minutes for two small rose wine. Waited 30 minutes for the starter to arrive. Service was horrendous and hit with the excuse of all the staff are new and going through a transition period, simply not enough and will not be back. Highly recommend to AVOID!

I am not convinced with this restaurant as I am not sure at all that products are freshly cooked. It was disappointing regarding the price. Beer and cocktail were okay, staff too. Nothing special to remember about this place, except maybe the nice decoration (it was Christmas time). Nevertheless I could recommend this restaurant for someone looking for Scottish food (but that may be because I haven't tried many restaurants in Glasgow)

Lovely cozy atmosphere, an upscale but comfortable pub atmosphere that is perfect for a cold and/or rainy day in Glasgow. Really friendly service, lots of great recommendations. Nice wine list, friendly service and good food as well, only wish the pig belly was a bit less fatty (have had many a pig belly before, some fat is expected but in my case it was 90% fat! . Still one of our favourite meals in Glasgow given the lovely ambience and friendly service. View menu

Baffled by the 5 star reviews on here. My first visit was however on a busy Friday in Christmas season, dining from a set festive menu. At £27 a head, I was not bowled over by the food and in particular the portions. Having ordered in advance I was still expecting to be asked how I like my steak cooked, but instead was served up a steak not to my liking with a meagre portion of chips and half a massive tomato that was not grilled as would've been expected when eating other grilled food. The dessert was, I must say, awesome. Nice inviting decor with excellent service which made up for the low points elsewhere. Tempted to go back on a different day of the week, but it's not on the cards.

Ingram Wynd is truely fantastic, it is a victorian experience which you probably will never have had. They will wine you and dine you to your best expectations (well they did to mine). The food is truely quite unique, you would expect a royal king sitting at his big wooden table with his knights getting fed this food, such as Roast Rib-Eye of Beef or Pot Roast Pork Belly. And the deserts are to die for, I had dark chocolate, hazelnut and rum parfait with vanilla ice cream and my boyfriend had rice pudding panna cotta with roasted fruits and caramel ice cream. Yum, it is hearty filling food that is gorgeous. The best thing is you can't complain that about the way anything is cooked because th...

What a gorgeous restaurant! From the outside it looks like a restaurant you find on the streets of Paris the fine dining capital, and the interior doesn't disappoint either. It is decorated in a Victorian style with thick, black curtains, 3 darkly painted walls with Victorian paintings, sketches and maps on them, one exposed brick wall and tall, chintzy patterned floor lamps. This dark, moody interior creates the perfect cozy and intimate atmosphere for a special romantic meal. Everything I have eaten here has been uttery sublime and is a complete assault on the senses as it looks and smells almost as good as it tastes! In fact it's so good you don't know whether to eat it or book a room wit... View menu

Dinner regrets... Went out for dinner last night with friends and it was a last minute decision so options were limited. Ingram Wynd had room for us and i had heard good things, so why not give it a try, I will start with the good.. Arran Blonde Beer Very nice. The tomato and corriander sauce for the mussels was tasty..... The service was quite good from the waiting staff. Thats it on the good. Sadly the food was very poor. Olives were tiny. Mussels were tiny. The chicken liver pate was awful. The Venison sausage was very over cooked. Basically burnt. The steak burger and chips that I had was really basic. The burger was burnt and very bland, the wedges were to thick and had no spices added...

Came here with my guy for a celebratory meal. We hadn't planned it that way, but it turned out that way! Our reservation was for noon, and we showed up sharp but were seated and told we needed to wait a bit as they were just opening. No worries, we ordered some wine and looked over the menu. I really love the decor here. Very warm and cozy and old timey feeling. It's a great space indeed. We ordered of their lunch menu- we both ordered smoked mackerel for our starters which was lovely. They cut up the mackerel to make it seem like there's more, but it's placed on top a fair amount of potato salad and mixed leaves. A really tasty dish! He ordered stovies for lunch- which, to him were not stov...
