"I would not recommend this restaurant. We were told they had no fish, which is strange given their location. When the food finally arrived, it was cold - both my meal and my husband's. The staff were unfriendly and took offense when I mentioned that my beans on toast was cold. When it was brought back, the toast was lukewarm bread with a hint of being toasted. The bill came to £30.15, which is quite pricey for just 2 bacon rolls, 2 teas, 1 beans on toast, a child's meal of sausage, beans, and chips, and 2 cokes. I do not plan on returning. Additionally, the table next to us had a similar experience - one person received their meal before the others, and when they asked about it, they were told the restaurant was busy."

A new management team, good menu, excellent fish and chips, first class service and dog friendly. Would definitely come again.

Thanks to staff at the Ivy for hosting a celebration event for 50 people. Great service, cake, Prosecco etc. A lovely venue and helpful staff.

Nice food, which I really enjoyed. Very friendly and welcoming staff plus a great location. I'd certainly recommend and will definitely visit again when I'm next in Scarborough.

booked a meal over ot for 20:15, as not know the opposite well, took transport to the restaurant only to find it closed! I had never done this, disappointing as my mother's 70th birthday weekend

On a break to scarborough glad we found this place. Had the pensioners special Haddock, chips, peas, tartare sauce, bread butter and pot of tea only £7.95 all in. Beautifully cooked and service was perfect. Not from this area but would highly recommend. Great views overlooking harbour. Thank you.

What a dreadful experience; my wife and I took our family out for lunch as a special treat. We had to wait for over and hour for our meals to arrive. When we complained about the delay one staff member was rude and did not seem to care. A very poor overall service and very expensive given portion sizes were small and the standard of cuisine was average. I would never go back to this restaurant.

Saw the pensioners lunch deal thought we would try it as standard portions too much for us. Told on arrival 30 minute wait. Terrible customer service no one updated us (we had plenty of time as it happened so thought we’d see how long it took) and after 2 hours waiting they said they would chase up our order. Food delivered a short while later saying it had the wrong table number on it …mediocre quality some chips not cooked through others cold. To be honest they would be better closing today everyone was complaining. The staff weren’t bothered at all. AVOID AT ALL COST IF YOUR IN A RUSH

We waited for almost an hour before the waitress informed us that they had made a mistake and the pizza topping we had ordered was not available. When I asked if that meant they hadn't started cooking it yet, she said it only takes two minutes, but it actually took another 10 minutes. When we expressed our frustration about the long wait, she argued with us about how long we had been waiting and mentioned that they had been busy, questioning what we expected from a seaside cafe during Easter. However, we expected better service and a more friendly attitude for a meal that cost over £80. The restaurant was poorly managed, lacked customer care, and served average food. We will not be returning...
