"We celebrated a 70th birthday with 8 people at Kings Head on a Sunday at 1pm. We had pre-booked a table and were greeted by friendly and courteous staff who showed us to our table. A staff member even helped us set up a birthday banner. We all opted for the carvery option and despite it being busy, we were taken to the carvery area with plenty of choices including roast pork, turkey, beef, potatoes, batter pudding, carrots, peas, and more. Our plates were warmed and we selected our desired items. The carver and assistant were very helpful and pleasant. The food was perfectly cooked with generous portions of meat. For dessert, we had options such as apple pie with custard, ice cream, and others which were quickly served in good portions. We ended the meal with a selection of coffee/Irish coffee, which was also brought to us promptly despite the busy restaurant. The excellent service, perfectly cooked food, and friendly staff created a great atmosphere for a memorable party. We will definitely return, 10 out of 10. Thank you. Note: Vegetarian options were available, although none of our group chose them. There is ample parking with a large car park of at least 40 spaces."

As always, the roast dinner at this restaurant is top-notch. I have no complaints at all. The price range per person is between £10 and £20. The food, service, and atmosphere all deserve a perfect score of 5.

Cold and soulless, the new extension is not the place to be for Sunday lunch, it could be in any hotel anywhere get a table in the old pub side.for me I wont be going back. a 300 mile round trip for lunch with my parents and bitterly disappointed..

This restaurant is disappointing. The staff seemed unhappy and were not helpful when we asked for serviettes. The portions of meat were small and contained a lot of fat and bones. The waitress used a strong-smelling cleaner on the table next to us. We were not given any acknowledgment that we were finished with our meal. We will not be returning.

I took my brother and his family to this restaurant for dinner a few weeks ago. We had been there many times before, but usually for lunch. Unfortunately, the portions of food we were served were very small and not very warm. I had ordered lasagne and salad, but the salad only had one piece of tomato, one cucumber, a few leaves, and was one mouthful at most. The prices were also very high. I will not be returning to this pub again. I used to recommend it in the past, but not anymore if the portions are going to be so small for an average price of £14.00. It felt like we were being robbed, especially with the prices of drinks being so high as well. We ended up spending over £100 for the four...

I seriously cannot believe the treatment my friend and I received today. Last straw was waiting for them to collect our money, obviously they just want the change as a tip as we had to say after half hour of waiting for our change. We had decided we were not leaving at tip due to a few things . We walked in; was ignored and we had to ask where we sat we previously called to say we was on our way) they walked right next to us multiple times until we had the courage to ask, not only that on the phone we were told the standard menu would be available and they tried to palm us off with the bar menu once we got there and made us feel like a nuisance when we questioned it. We decided to stay as we...
