"We visited Cologne for the Christmas markets, but after flying from the UK, then getting a train to the City by the time we’d arrived it was 22:00 on a Sunday night and most restaurants were closed. Kittichai was one of the few places that...was open, and we read some positive reviews on here and Happy Cow so headed along. I’m not going to lie, when we arrived I nearly didn’t go in it’s decor was more bar-like and it was playing some terrible (and pretty loud) house music. But we were starving and decided to grab a table regardless, and I’m so glad we did. The food was so good. Freshly cooked, tasty and HUGE portion sizes. 4/6 of us in the group were vegetarian and there were loads of great vegan and vege options. The only downside to the experience was that nobody greeted us when we walked in to the place. There was no acknowledgment from the staff whatsoever, and the staff just stood talking behind the bar. (We actually thought they might be closed) it wasn’t until my Girlfriend approached them and asked if we could get a table that they showed any interest in us. It was a bad start to the meal. The service from then on was pretty good though I must admit. But anyway, in the end everyone in our party left full, content and in agreement that we’d found a little gem. If you love Thai food I’d highly recommend this place."

We ordered the Thai Curry (option #40 and the #41). It’s a decent quantity of food. Rice with a lot of vegetables and some pieces of meat. Taste is a bit flat. It’s not the oh wow experience. If you’re hungry you can go for...a quick meal. There are other more tasty options around.

I had a Thai style salate with erdnuss, huh and crumble and greens. the salat was ok, I would have wished that huh, that was added warns cold - it was prepared. the curry was good, a beautiful taste of Thai basilikum, but needed a table ppon...more of fish sauce and lime in my opinion. we had some “Saté spits koh phangan style” they were so good!

my friends who are natives brought us here to have a quick dinner. somehow, this place tries to be imaginative, although it is not so much. I mean, the interieur is nice, but it still looks a little cheap. the food was solid and was delivered quite quickly. prices are good, but the place in restaurant is limited. you should come early enough to get a good table.

we tried curry mango with duck and some noodles with duck both dishes were over our expectations. not to mention the homemade limonade, which is also worth the order. kakao was also very good. Comfortable ordering system and well composed menu supplement the positive...experience with kittichai . we were in kittichai restaurants on the ehrenstrasse (dez 2018) and at the old market (aug 2018) both are great.

During a short visit to Cologne, we had lunch at Kittichai. We chose the restaurant due to its looks and our hunger for a good curry. We weren't disappointed! The menu has some very nice options and the food was prepared quickly and very tasty....The only downside for this restaurant was that it doesn't accept cards (hello.... it's 2017 If you are in Cologne and you fancy a curry, find one of the three Kittichai's in the city!

They have multiple locations around Cologne the ones I know and can recommand are at Rudolfplatz and Alter Markt, close to Heumarkt. They have a wide variety of very delicious dishes, from not spicy at all to very spicy. The dishes are big, so...don't come here for just a snack or only order starters (which are delicious, too). Also, take the green homemade lemonade (I think mince and something else) It is so delicious and refreshing!

We travelled into the city centre to watch a Liverpool football game in an Irish bar. We were looking for something quick to eat but weren’t sure what we fancied. We walked for about 2 minutes and stumbled on Kittichai. You order at the bar...and then take your table number with you. Our cocktails were delicious and they have a happy hour offer on depending on when you visit. Our food came out in under 20 minutes. It was piping hot, delicious and presented beautifully. Just what we needed!! Definitely try the chicken Thai curry, the sauce is to die for!

Me and my partner visited Kittichai during a short trip to Cologne. It was our first day and we decided to give this restaurant a try later in the evening after reading some good reviews. We were more than pleased! I had the mango chicken...curry and my partner had beef red Thai, both meals were served with coconut rice. We also had a side of shredded beef spring rolls. All the food was delicious, quick service and served piping hot. We also had a cocktail each, we opted for large not realising just how big they'd be! This meal and drinks were great value for money and if we visit Cologne again we'll definitely be having another meal at this fantastic little restaurant.

eating is very tasty and they cannot complain about it. their service concept is called half service and is not really worked up. they make their order on the counter, pay first and receive a number afterwards. they should place this number on their table visibly so that the waiters can bring their meal to them. the problem is that the waiters have to look for the numbers in the whole restaurant, which can lead to waiter who take their meal before the first before they realize that they are sitting in the rear corner. the waiter clear the plates quite fast, but leave empty glasses and bottle not recognized on the table. everything in all it is worth even if the service could be a little bett...
