"The food is very delicious and you can definitely not complain about it. Their service concept is called semi-service' and is not really elaborated. You make your order at the counter, pay first and receive a number afterwards. You should place this number visible on...your table, so the waiters can bring your meal to you. The problem about this is that the waiters need to search for the numbers in the whole restaurant, which can result in waiters, who take your meal outside first, before they recognize that you are sitting in the rear corner. The waiters clear the plates quite fast, but leave empty glasses and bottles unrecognized on the table. All in all the food is worth it, even if the service could be a little better."

We ordered the Thai Curry (option #40 and the #41). It’s a decent quantity of food. Rice with a lot of vegetables and some pieces of meat. Taste is a bit flat. It’s not the oh wow experience. If you’re hungry you can go for...a quick meal. There are other more tasty options around.

My friends, who are locals, brought us here to have a quick dinner. Somehow, this place tries to be fancy even though it is not so much. I mean the interiour is kinda nice but it still looks a bit cheap. The food was solid...and was delivered pretty fast. Prices are good but space inside the restaurant is limited. You should come early enough to get a good table. View menu

We tried Curry Mango with duck and some noodles with duck both dishes were above our expectations. Not to mention the homemade lemonade that is also worth ordering. Kakao was very good as well. Convenient ordering system and well-composed menu add to the positive...experience with Kittichai . We have been to Kittichai restaurants on Ehrenstrasse (Dec 2018) and on Alter Markt (Aug 2018) both are great.

They have multiple locations around Cologne the ones I know and can recommand are at Rudolfplatz and Alter Markt, close to Heumarkt. They have a wide variety of very delicious dishes, from not spicy at all to very spicy. The dishes are big, so...don't come here for just a snack or only order starters (which are delicious, too). Also, take the green homemade lemonade (I think mince and something else) It is so delicious and refreshing! View menu

Stopped in here for a bite to eat and a quick drink before our trip back to the airport. Wish we'd visited earlier! Cheery staff and the food came quick. No table service but it's not really that sort of place. Drinks are cheap with...happy hour specials on cocktails. Food was very nice, typical Thai-style fare. Pad thai, red curry... even burgers with sweet potato fries if you are so inclined! Not expensive at all and well located within walking distance of the Cathedral.

Me and my partner visited Kittichai during a short trip to Cologne. It was our first day and we decided to give this restaurant a try later in the evening after reading some good reviews. We were more than pleased! I had the mango chicken...curry and my partner had beef red Thai, both meals were served with coconut rice. We also had a side of shredded beef spring rolls. All the food was delicious, quick service and served piping hot. We also had a cocktail each, we opted for large not realising just how big they'd be! This meal and drinks were great value for money and if we visit Cologne again we'll definitely be having another meal at this fantastic little restaurant.

"In a 5-day stay in Cologne and as a lover of Indian cuisine, we had planned the Ginti. The visit took place on Monday to the beginning of noon. The reception was very friendly and cordial by the Lord of the House. The decor in Ginti is very modern, stylish, but also somewhat sterile and only very discreet supplements with Indian accessories. Young guests will probably find favors in the style of the institution. The place was still empty and so there was a chance to get a brief conversation with the mistress of the house. She brought us the menus, and there were Papadam with three from a culinary point of view pretty boring finished dives. We chose both a mango sauce as a drink that was thin and most likely prepared on the basis of a mango powder. Disgusting! I ordered as main dish Malai Kofta, vegetable balls in a mild curry sauce with ginger, garlic, almonds and coconut. This is not only one of my favorite Indian dishes, but it is also a dish that places higher requirements on a kitchen and therefore cannot be found in any Indian restaurant on the menu. In addition, quality and freshness can be well valued with this bowl. I ordered this dish with a higher sharpness, but not through the sauce, but ultimately through the vegetable balls themselves. The latter were produced excellently and their loose inner composition had the freshness of the preparation felt. This was undoubtedly a 5-star court. My accompaniment had opted for Tandoori King Prawn Masala, marinated royal cloves from Tandoor in a sauce with tomatoes, cashew nuts and raisins. This dish was also very tasty, rather mild and very generous in the number of shrimps. The rice was served unfavorably on an open bowl and had to measure any fragrance and aroma that could originate from cardamom capsules or spice cloves. After the main dishes were convinced, we were curious about the Indian ice cream, Kulfi. This came visually well over a carrot cut into slices, but could not be along tasteful. It was crystallized, little creamy and the aromas of the aforementioned mango powder were reappeared. Conclusion: a highly recommended Indian restaurant due to the excellent main dishes, but not yet matured in its culinary periphery. Therefore, provisionally three stars with an inclination to four."
