"Sheesh, what a terrible pub. 4 of us, eating, and welcoming was freezing. we have continued to be of the manager lady who 's customer service skills are not on the radar. my partner chose a beet dish from the specials (e...seen left on the board). after a past she came back with a face like stone and said noisy beetroot away. it remained like one on the board until we left. Of course, if you eat on these places to such trips, you know too well that the house where the food is made, which is from brake bros. they could, however, make a special effort. Instead, the kitchen door is left wide open, so I had a panoramic view of endless bags from the freeze cabinet that was torn up, the inherited coming from the microwave, etc. They could not make much wrong with sampi and chips, although the frozen chips were too hot boiled too fast, and were still in the middle firm. kabeljau and chips looked rather gray, and the stigwkel as it had been cooked, instead of roasted or grilled. the atmosphere was like drab as decoration. I find the good reviews on here incredible, and just go to prove how low the standards are some people target."

Fantastic lunch, found randomly. Would definitely recommend and revisit. 3 different sandwiches, all stuffed full and DELICIOUS, with an extremely generous ‘handful’ of chips. Someone has big hands!

This was our first visit, and we were pleasantly surprised by the improvements both outside and inside the restaurant. We received a warm greeting upon arrival, and enjoyed an excellent meal. There was a good selection on the specials board as well as the regular menu. The service was quick and friendly. We look forward to coming back soon!

Lovely Sunday lunch with 2 friends. Great price, lovely staff and quick service. The very tender beef came with 4 vegetables plus new potatoes ,roast potatoes and 2 Yorkshire puddings (my friends also had pork with their beef). If you can manage a dessert their...signature dish is a Malteser cheesecake, like no other! This is our 'go to ' eatery. View menu

We called in for a get-together lunch and the menu was quite detailed, with various options from sandwiches to a full steak meal including vegetarian choices. The food came out nice and hot and all together as there was 8 of us. There was a...reasonable dessert menu at £4.50 each but a cup of coffee was rather expensive at £3. The staff were friendly and helpful and we will visit again.

Had a meal here with a group off friends, very varied selection on menu, waitress freindely and helpfull. Good desert menu deserts very tasty, most portions very filling although some portion were a little on small side. Fantastic out side area would be lovely in summer, no...baby changeing facilities which isn't ideal for a family pub On the whole a nice pub open all day which is quite unusual in this area. I would vist again if in the area.

Having to travel to the Burnham Rugby Club to have our Covid booster jab we decided to book to have Sunday roast at the Knowle Inn at Bawdrip on our journey home. It certainly turned out to be an excellent decision. The meat was locally...sourced and was of fabulous quality and was cooked to perfection.. The accompanying vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli, swede, cabbage, roast and new potatoes were all obviously fresh and beautifully cooked. Service was swift and personable. All in all a great Sunday treat View menu

Before sitting down, I noticed a sign that read: "Caz and the team welcome you to the Knowle Inn. Please check our reviews on Facebook and TripAdvisor." All I can say is that if Caz is seeking reviews, they should first offer decent service and quality food. My steak and ale pie seemed like it had been cooked days ago; I couldn't even cut through it without sawing back and forth. It was completely inedible. After I brought this to their attention, I hoped for some kind of response, but there was nothing—not even a discount on the bill. There was also a reserved section for eight diners next to us, who likely thought they were being served fresh food without realizing the truth. I would advis...

Unfortunately, the situation changed while we were eating. An older waitress brought our food, and she was extremely rude and sarcastic. She didn’t offer to check if we needed anything else. When we asked a man, who I believe was the cook, for assistance, he was quite annoying and unhelpful. The young waitress, on the other hand, deserves commendation for apologizing on behalf of her colleague when she came back with extra sauces and checked in on us later. The food was excellent, though the potatoes were a bit soggy. The bar staff was also very polite. Overall, we appreciated the table service and had a good time, but the behavior of some employees definitely put a damper on our experience...

"Been wanting to try this ‘alternative’ pub for a while. Large car park with plenty of space, no steps or slopes into the bar. Access for buggies, wheelchairs etc should be okay, my mother walks with the aid of a frame and has no issues. Inside the decor is certainly alternative but in a great way, loved it! Plenty to look at, keep you entertained and talk about as you wait for your food or just pass the time. Staff were friendly and welcoming, there was just one guy running the bar, taking food orders and bringing food out; I thought he needed a helper or coworker really. There is a decent bar area with seating or there is more ‘restaurant’ style seating further back beyond the bar. We chose to sit in the bar area seating which is a mixture of booth and chairs. Dogs are allowed in which is great, there is free Wi-Fi which is good as my mobile signal was very poor. The menu is standard pub food, quite a bit of choice and plenty of options for gluten free. I chose to have the fillet steak cooked medium, I had a starter of garlic bread but chose for it all to come out together. Mother had beef brisket loaded fries, the portion was massive so I had to help her finish it. The steak was perfectly cooked, I chose to have the peppercorn sauce; this was a bit watery and bland. The steak comes with chunky chips, peas, mushrooms, tomatoes and onion rings. For dessert I had the nutty apple crumble with ice cream, it was okay. Overall this is a great venue with acceptable food, friendly staff and awesome decor that will keep you talking and looking all night. Based on this experience I would visit again."
