"Staying at a nearby hotel and walking in the Altstadt district, I saw that this restaurant looked inviting and went in. It was a good choice!Although it was full I was given a table and enjoyed an excellent meal in a restaurant that could have been anywhere in Tuscany. It was small but interesting. Busy but relaxed. Not a BIG menu but an adequate one. A good wine menu, of course!I was given delicious rolls with herb butter and olives as soon as I sat down and the glass of wine I ordered came almost immediately. A very generous glass of Italian red wine cost almost 6 euros but was worth it. I ordered scampi as main dish and this came looking like a work of art and tasting as expected. The plate was decorated with lightly cooked vegetables and with delicious garlic-flavoured scampi and herbs. Just the right amount of everything. There was a choice of 3 desserts and I went for tiramisu - again a work of art and delicious!I enjoyed a well-rounded meal in an authentic vibrant Italian restaurant and would make this my local if staying in the district again. The total cost was 32 euros. Not cheap but well worth it."

Hi - have been here and it was very disappointing. Far too expensive, very noisy and non fresh food. Cannot recommend.

A visit to La Piazzetta is always like a culinary holiday in Italy. Very delicious food and a very sympathetic good cheerful chef. The best Bruschetta I've ever eaten. Keep going.

A little bit too crowded, noisy and stressed: typical Italian place, ran by Italians????. Great variety and quality of dishes. Service is with an Italian flavour, so not to efficient, but good atmosphere View menu

We found this restaurant near our hotel, and it was the only one kinda full. Noticeable that the owners are real italian people. The portions aree very generous and I think that the prices are like those of the other restaurants in the city.

If you like italian cuisine you should definitely try this establisment. Italian-owned and operated, it offers a variety of dishes from surf and turf, as well as pizzas. The ambience is cozy and welcoming and the staff helpful. Ask them as for the plat du jour, you will be hardly disappointed. Highly recommended.

Very nice restaurant with people who regularly come for a dinner. It is always full and noisy.Serves some kind of German style Italian food , but not without success.Very kind waiters and very good choice of wines , which is rare since everybody drinks beer in Germany. You feel comfortable and for sure will have a nice evening View menu

After trying to go to the restaurant 2 times, I finally made it on the third time. I'm glad I didn't give up. The complimentary bruschetta was to die for. I ordered the Penne fruti de mare, and although the gamberetti was slightly more done than I like it, the dish on the whole was delicious. If there was a litre of sauce on it, it wouldn't be enough. I could've eaten the sauce by itself all day long! I followed it by a traditional cafe latte, it looked superb and it was superb. I am staying 1 more week in the vicinity and will at the very least try some pizza from them although I may just have to get something else off the menu.

We have found this place by accident: while wandering in Köln on our way back to the hotel. We were hesitating a lot to try, because the garden is on the sidewalk of quite busy road. However: garden was in the shadow of the trees and the menu looked interesting. The freebie - bruschetta with tomatoes - was delicious and promised we can expect some more...We tried grilled salmon and grilled shrimps (both dishes for ca 18 Euro). After the first bite we knew, that our decision was good.Salmon was juicy, with lot of herbs and with potatoes, carrots and broccoli aside. We were also served bread.White wine was local - German - with full taste and nice chilled. Glass for 4,50 Euro. The only disadvant...

"In a 5-day stay in Cologne and as a lover of Indian cuisine, we had planned the Ginti. The visit took place on Monday to the beginning of noon. The reception was very friendly and cordial by the Lord of the House. The decor in Ginti is very modern, stylish, but also somewhat sterile and only very discreet supplements with Indian accessories. Young guests will probably find favors in the style of the institution. The place was still empty and so there was a chance to get a brief conversation with the mistress of the house. She brought us the menus, and there were Papadam with three from a culinary point of view pretty boring finished dives. We chose both a mango sauce as a drink that was thin and most likely prepared on the basis of a mango powder. Disgusting! I ordered as main dish Malai Kofta, vegetable balls in a mild curry sauce with ginger, garlic, almonds and coconut. This is not only one of my favorite Indian dishes, but it is also a dish that places higher requirements on a kitchen and therefore cannot be found in any Indian restaurant on the menu. In addition, quality and freshness can be well valued with this bowl. I ordered this dish with a higher sharpness, but not through the sauce, but ultimately through the vegetable balls themselves. The latter were produced excellently and their loose inner composition had the freshness of the preparation felt. This was undoubtedly a 5-star court. My accompaniment had opted for Tandoori King Prawn Masala, marinated royal cloves from Tandoor in a sauce with tomatoes, cashew nuts and raisins. This dish was also very tasty, rather mild and very generous in the number of shrimps. The rice was served unfavorably on an open bowl and had to measure any fragrance and aroma that could originate from cardamom capsules or spice cloves. After the main dishes were convinced, we were curious about the Indian ice cream, Kulfi. This came visually well over a carrot cut into slices, but could not be along tasteful. It was crystallized, little creamy and the aromas of the aforementioned mango powder were reappeared. Conclusion: a highly recommended Indian restaurant due to the excellent main dishes, but not yet matured in its culinary periphery. Therefore, provisionally three stars with an inclination to four."
