"Such a great place. The staff is super welcoming and friendly. Even though the restaurant is full you never feel hurried or unattended. We stayed there until closing, had a great time with delicious drinks and even better food. The metaxa sauce is a must try. The friend calamari were not really as expected we prefer small fried calamari insted of big pieces, but everything else was crazy delicious so that is surely not taking anything away from the rating. "Das Positive gleich vorweg. Das Essen war sehr lecker, und die Rechnung fiel erfreulicherweise sogar einen Euro niedriger aus als es die Karte angab. Leider war der Service auf der Terasse... Ich würds mal so ausdrücken, dass man sich dort ein wenig vergessen vorkam. Es dauerte lange bis sich mal jemand heraus bemühte um die Karte zu bringen, es dauerte lange bis dann wieder jemand kam um die Bestellung aufzunehmen, es dauerte relativ lange bis das Getränk kam, da es erst einmal durchs ganze Lokal getragen wurde, bis man merkte das der Gast ja auf der Terasse sitzt... Immerhin kam die Pizza heiß an, da zufällig der Chef draußen stand, als sie aus dem ofen kam und er sie kurzerhand an den Tisch brachte. Und, (keine Überraschung) es dauerte lange bis wieder jemand kam um abzuräumen und (wieder lange) um abzukassieren. Mag sein, dass es daran lag das die Saison weitgehend gelaufen ist, es Sonntags abend war und der Service von (nur) zwei Leuten gestemmt wurde, aber vielleicht schaut einer der beiden doch mal öfter zwischendurch auf die Terasse den Biergarten, ob noch alles passt."

"General/Ambiente friends have warmed up in the highest tones from the Weßner Hof in Marquartstein. The kitchen of the house was praised in highest tones. As I can confirm after my visit – rightly. The 3 star hotel in traditional Alpine style is also known beyond Marquartstein as a recommended address for a high-quality Bavarian gastronomy. The large guest room in the “Zeddystuben” style is divided several times; no matter where you find a place in the always well-visited restaurant, you feel right well. Walls and ceilings are very elaborately lined with light wood, the tasteful furnishings are rurally elegant. The cosy ambience invites you to stay. The Weßner Hof is made up of an original farm, so you can still rely on sustainability today. The restaurant spoils its guests with homemade specialities. The products come largely from their own agriculture and butchery. The cakes come from the Weßner-Konditorei and the farm's own distillery supplies fruit fires and liqueurs. Kitchen The menu is classic and Bavarian traditional, really appealing and well sorted. I decided for peasants with country potatoes and salad for 13.90€ The chicken of course also came from the Weßner-Hof, not comparable to poultry from the supermarket around the corner. You taste the difference. In undivided condition, the bird certainly brought the proud 1600gr to the scale and was also half a portion to be filled. The hendl was perfectly prepared, golden brown the skin, well seasoned, the light meat massed, dressed on a harmonizing light sauce. The country potatoes were definitely not TK goods, all freshly processed, columns from the oven. Also the crisp fresh salad mix could convince, tasty made with a subtle sour cream dip. In addition, a gifted Augustinian Helles and a Willi as Verdauerli – what you want more. I was completely satisfied. I was operated by a young lady in the dirndl, absolutely nothing to complain – uncomplicated, friendly, flott – it must be. Conclusion: very good kitchen with the use of products from our own production, original cozy ambience and good service. Absolutely recommended."
