"wandering from a grumpy air in the city, having missed the apparently obligatory curfew of 15 hours, we fell on this place covered with vines in a secondary street. That was the Indian or nothing, so without any expectations, we sat down. Now, to be frank, we had luck with the service, because an extremely kind guy was immediately available and eager to help; it turned out that he is the owner's son and a full-fledged leader, but helping the peacock family. (if I could remember her name, I'd give her a shot!) the waitress who helped was a beautiful and super nice movie star. his father owns a shop 100 meters away! The first promising sign was that it was a short menu. the second being the fact that the usual camarguais dishes did not appear in honor. going straight to the goal, the kitchen was brilliant and creative (the mussels with algae were a revelation!). reading the other reviews, I have some sympathy, because the second visit was served by the girl of the house, who should really require a refund of her charming school. Mom's a margolous miriam silk, and I guess, a tough one. But the star of the show is Dad. a man simply adorable and totally engaged in his vocation. shy and shy of nature, but full of charm to warm up. He is the image of his son, as charming but who has travelled a lot! this place is "real", not a tourist trap. This and Dad's cooking make him special."

It was a disaster. such a horrible night there! waiters as in prison, the old lady (owner) as a cruel commander. and food not so bad, but it wasn't paradise. And when I saw how much it cost... omg

We had lunch here, but we weren't really impressed by the restaurant. food is correct but far from being exciting or delicious. The most remarkable thing is probably the owner: an old lady who commands not only his servers as a general, but also the guests.

From the moment we went to this restaurant to check the menu, we were welcomed. When we asked about vegetarian possibilities, the server went to the kitchen and came back with some possibilities. kitchen staff even suggested making a pizza that wasn't on the menu. Finally, I went there with a thousand goat cheese smoke and a salad, and I was not disappointed - delicious! my partner chose local sausages and he was also very happy with his meal. in the midst of the many tourist trap restaurants that this city has to offer, we were delighted to fall on this very friendly restaurant located in a quiet street.

As long as you speak French enough, you can have fun with the way the owner manages the place. it commands the servers, share comments when something does not happen as it likes it - all in a typically French way - and you will have your share too! food was correct, the "apero" of the house was a good idea, and it is a place that accepts dogs. In fact, we discovered the place when a waitress offered our dog water to drink (even if we just passed and didn't even intend to go to this restaurant.) sitting outside, in front of the restaurant, at lunch time was okay (with enough natural shade of the building itself) View menu

we went to eat in this restaurant on a Saturday evening (2/11/2013). We were all alone in the restaurant, now we know why. We took the cheapest 3-course menu at 28,50 € with one of the cheapest red wine bottles (they had no wine pick) at 26 €. Generally, food was not bad but not good either. We had to wait very long after each course. empty plates remained on the table for more than 20 minutes. I guess the staff wanted to keep us as long as possible to attract other people. For dessert, my husband took a mist. It wasn't good, we think it was put too long in the microwave. we paid 83 € for 2 people for something worth about max. 50 €. We will never return to this restaurant again.

nestled in a side street (see address above), this restaurant is a treasure, not only for food but also for some of the art works hung inside and especially madam. It is quite unique and has a way of table that, at the beginning abrupt, warms you after a while. She makes sure you enjoy your meal and they provide what you want. (for the British who understand this, she made me think of jo brand.) the goat's thousandfella was perfectly balanced in its flavors, the turenedos perfectly made and accompanied, among other things, of sweet potato purée mixed with a touch of cumin - very pleasant. I was mean, as usual, and I had a desert - chocolate melting, charming. the atmosphere of the place was...

By chance, and without having read any opinions, we stopped for lunch at the Camarguais subtau during a recent passage to Aigues-Mortes. At the beginning, we were drawn to the fact that it is a little away from the most frequented tourist areas, and it was a little quieter. What a treat. We both chose the menu of the noon, starting with a delicious cocktail, followed by shells cooked in various ways, then of Provencal Ioli. Tatin pie for dessert. We were very satisfied with the quality of food, the atmosphere and the attention of the owner. There is an obvious pride for the high quality of the kitchen, its presentation and culinary experience. we had a great lunch on Sunday - a perfect place... View menu

restaurants in which I ate with dead eagles, it's among the most expensive but food usually justifies it. I went several times to the city and in 2014, I ate there half a dozen times served by the charming, clear student whose children still speak. At the beginning of our 2015 adventure, we went there at the beginning of the first week. the fish was exquisite and the food of the children (although an incorrect order) was delicious. You smell one, but? my toro net was rotten and when I spoke to the server, the owner (artificially described by another critic on the site) refused to accept this fact (although a non-eaten steak of 28 euros) and was very disinvolt in his response. his defense was...

We, 4 Australians, fell on the Camarguais subtau at lunchtime and enjoyed the fact that it is a bit distant from the lively area of the tourist restaurants of the square and that there are shaded vineyards under which sit outside. our French is basic but we were helped in our decision to dine here by a charming waiter who, we discovered, studied English and American literature at the University of Montpellier. She advised us on the menus and we decided to stay immediately. We ordered from the menu at 28,50 euros and tasted various specialities of camarguaises of beef and seafood cooked and presented so nicely. The duck salad was so tasty and the camel bull that had been marinated in red wine...

"My girlfriend was riding a bike ride and one of our stops for the night was in Aigues-Mortes. our guide recommended the peacock bistro and we went to the city walls to locate it. it is found that we were in Aigues-Mortes on the same day as their annual celebration of the feasts of Saint-Louis, so the community was full of space and visitors. we managed to find the paou bistro in one of the side streets and even if we had no reservation, we had the chance to have the last table available for two. they do not offer paper menus because everything is written on some large portable black tables that are displayed so that you can make selections. our server took care of us quickly and we both ordered inputs and a glass of wine each. our French-language capabilities were sufficient to enable us to communicate effectively! We both selected local wines and they were very kind. a lot of bread was provided and we looked with wonder the restaurant filling up and the small team of servers took care of everyone. our meals went out in time and the presentation was very attractive. I ordered a lamb dish and my girlfriend ordered grilled local fish. Both meals were fantastic, they were cooked to perfection and very tasty. Vegetables were provided for both of us and I had potatoes with my lamb while my girlfriend had rice with her fish. We also ordered desserts and they were served quickly and were also delicious. As the evening went on, we noticed that it was a challenge for the servers to follow everyone, I suppose that because of the festival, it was probably more busy than usual but they managed to serve everyone with a smile even if they were a little overwhelmed. . we spent more than a week in france and we both agree that it was our best meal during this period!"
