"My girlfriend was riding a bike ride and one of our stops for the night was in Aigues-Mortes. our guide recommended the peacock bistro and we went to the city walls to locate it. it is found that we were in Aigues-Mortes on the same day as their annual celebration of the feasts of Saint-Louis, so the community was full of space and visitors. we managed to find the paou bistro in one of the side streets and even if we had no reservation, we had the chance to have the last table available for two. they do not offer paper menus because everything is written on some large portable black tables that are displayed so that you can make selections. our server took care of us quickly and we both ordered inputs and a glass of wine each. our French-language capabilities were sufficient to enable us to communicate effectively! We both selected local wines and they were very kind. a lot of bread was provided and we looked with wonder the restaurant filling up and the small team of servers took care of everyone. our meals went out in time and the presentation was very attractive. I ordered a lamb dish and my girlfriend ordered grilled local fish. Both meals were fantastic, they were cooked to perfection and very tasty. Vegetables were provided for both of us and I had potatoes with my lamb while my girlfriend had rice with her fish. We also ordered desserts and they were served quickly and were also delicious. As the evening went on, we noticed that it was a challenge for the servers to follow everyone, I suppose that because of the festival, it was probably more busy than usual but they managed to serve everyone with a smile even if they were a little overwhelmed. . we spent more than a week in france and we both agree that it was our best meal during this period!"

chosen randomly from a quick search on trip advisor, we were delighted with our choice and spent a very pleasant and typically French family meal. highly recommended and at a reasonable price.

you can now make the difference between this restaurant and the tourist trap of the main square. ingredients are extra fresh and dessert is homemade and you can taste it. I've had the best leaps I've ever had. Only for the desert I'll go back.

I went to the bistro and it was amazing. At first, the kitchen was closed, but the "kitchen head" chased us by telling us what he could offer at that time. We took the carpaccio and goat cheese. Both were served beautifully. Unfortunately, the waiter wasn't as friendly as the boss.

we sat down for lunch with two friends, they accepted us even if it was almost 14 hours (they usually stop accepting people before) and we can say that we had a lot of luck. the kitchen is very good, specialities of fish and camargue bulls for a really honest price: 45 euros for 3 people flat and dessert (no alcohol.) the restaurant is a bit hidden but very close to the main square. The service was a little too long because the server was alone but we had time to wait.

My family of 6 people ate here in May and the dinner we had was the best of our trip and one of the best meals I had for a long time. everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. portions were of the perfect size and food was affordable. the staff set out in four to adapt to our food preferences and our unhappy food allergy. our server (as well as the owner) was incredibly warm and welcoming and we spent an incredible moment. meals and service out of the ordinary. highly recommended!

We had a very good dinner at the peacock bistro. We both took the entrance/plat for 22 euros and shared a dessert for 6 euros. the main dishes we had (Lamb and Fish) were excellent and very well prepared and presented. the entries were just as good (cold carrot soup with an eggplant, foie gras.) dessert - the snow eggs - was excellent. food stands out definitively, especially regarding many other restaurants in the village. the service was attentive, friendly and professional. overall, a very good value for money. We'll definitely go back.

dead aigues is a very touristic city, so my boyfriend and I made roundtrips through the small town to find a restaurant out of the beaten paths, with an exciting menu. we found the paou bistro and we sat immediately for fear of not having a table in what seemed to be an incredible place. and we were not disappointed! We followed the recommendations of the server, from my choice of aperitif to cooking our meats, and everything was absolutely delicious, extremely well presented, served by friendly and smiling servers, and almost without waiting between the dishes. We so enjoyed the food we asked the server to compliment the chef for us, what he told us to do ourselves through the collar in the...
