"Walked in to buy some pastries which were positioned to the side by the entrance. I was almost immediately asked whether I wanted to eat in or take away; on replying that I wanted to take food away I was ordered to wait at the till which had no food on display and from which you couldn’t see any of the aforementioned pastries. I was then asked what I wanted and when I replied that I wasn’t sure given I had effectively been told not to look was meet with a bemused stare and had a menu, which contained pretty much only hot food, shoved my way. I started to order from what I recalled they had and was half way through (as I was ordering for others that weren’t with me at the time) when all of a sudden I had card machine flung towards me by a completely different member of staff. Had they been jammed I would have ever so slightly forgiven their attitude but I was the only individual in the queue at the time. I’d suggest the staff in question reconsider their suitability to a career in customer service; from my experience it’s not their forte. Won’t be returning and if you don’t intend on sitting down to eat would suggest that you don’t either."

I decided to stop by for a chai latte, but the staff's reception was disappointing and unwelcoming. The highlight of this cafe is the talented barista who makes excellent coffees. Our hotel did not serve breakfast, but the host recommended Love Walk Cafe as a nearby alternative. And so we went on a sunny Sunday morning, and chose to sit outside and enjoy the October sunshine. It was already very busy, and I was concerned that it would take ages for our breakfasts to arrive. I needn’t have worried, as our food came after what seemed like only minutes. We had the full English and the Love Walk Cafe omelette, and we were both very pleased with the quality. Very impressed with this cafe, it’s food and it’s very efficient service.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was handed a menu and instructed to find a table before going back to the counter to place my order. Despite being 78 years old and walking with difficulty due to a knee issue, I managed to follow these instructions. I do believe that the waiter could have taken my order given the circumstances. I opted for a sausage sandwich and a strong English Breakfast tea. The order arrived promptly, suggesting that the sausages were pre-cooked and of average quality.
