"this time not so good after two previous visits were excellent. the impressive main dining area of the brasserie is now only open at the weekend (free sun) and for functions. the bar area is today still a quite intelligent location for dinner mon thu. the service is mostly in the hands of young men who want to learn their trade, but there were failures the couple on the next table were offered water while I was ignored, and my glass white wine a few minutes after the crispy tinten launcher, accompanied by the glass red for the rib-eye steak main. this was well boiled, but badly worth at over £25, with too much inedible,. and two small mushrooms and a small tomato look more lost on a large plate with an average part of the decent chips in a dose. I didn't stay for dessert. when I return soon, it will be at a weekend."

Excellent food and service in a stylish hotel. The menu is shorter and less ambitious than a previous visit, but it is quality products, well cooked and good value for money. Enjoy crispy, wild mushroom truffle linguine and a sensational dessert caramel souffle that came cold (no preparation delay!). Very recommended.

Delicious food a large portion of fried squid, beautifully presented salmon fillet with ratatouille and parmentier potatoes, finished with cheesecake. New Zealand pinot gris was an excellent accompaniment. Friendly and incredibly speedy service. Worth staying at the hotel if you're visiting Chester as it has a large car park and is adjacent to the Park Ride. Accepts Yums too one of the few places outside London. Will be returning!

ayo our waiter was beautiful, personal and with a sense of humor. we made ourselves happy and showed us the table with one of the things I had asked. in my online booking. ayp gave us enough time to read the menu and decide what we wanted. eating was nice and surpassed our expectations. sharing platter, steakhouse burger, korean kimchi burger, s’mores cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding with custard, 4pints of pepsi max total £82, but we had £50 yums so our jubile meal was just £30! thank you. the fork!

the appetizers were brilliant, I had the squid and my wife had the brot with olive oil and balsamico vinegar main course I had the steak and ale cake served with broccoli and maische kartoffeln, although the eating was very hot the maische was powdered kartoffel and that was the same on the meal of my wife she had the laughs that was delicious. we had deserted I had dark chocolate and cherrycake this was served with coconut ice cream and my wife had the panacota these were ok, but I felt they were not good.
