"A warm welcome in a clean traditional English pub with a lot of history. A good range of beers, wines and spirits served by pleasant, helpful staff. My wife and I had a holiday let nearby and chose the Mexico Inn for a 'night cap ' on most evenings. We ate dinner there on one night and were definitely well looked after a really good meal and a very palatable drop of wine to accompany it. A big 'shout out ' to Ruby Tuesday smiling, helpful, pleasant and efficient. Just a lovely young lady who really is a 'people person '. Well done to ALL the team you made our holiday complete."

an evening in the value of a 5-star rating. eating is great, beer choice is excellent, the staff is great, the lady with the brown hair went above all over and above all the night, especially with our daughter! real nice amount and glad to spend a full evening there. View menu

this is a beautiful, friendly place with an excellent menu. we came by a little late when we were from another local pub whose chef was gone! I had drawn a beautifully boiled pork and mrs b had a nice peat fish and chips, complete with muddy heels. I have to confess, dearly read, that I ate more of the inherited than her, but she doesn't like her. we're coming back.

Went twice during a week’s stay in a nearby village. We chose to order small plates (there are mains and pizzas too). We had fabulous mezzo platter, leek and Stilton croquettes and monkfish scampi. Lovely big outside space that’s partially covered and equally beautiful pub inside. Also very conveniently located on a main bus route between St Ives and Penzance if you don’t want to drive

Really fantastic food and faultless service. This pub has a great atmosphere and simple but flavoured food using local produce. I had the Monkfish prawn curry which was cooked well and had the perfect amount of kick. My partner had the quinoa and halloumi burger which was the best vegetarian burger she has ever had! The waiter was cool, calm and efficient even though we were the only people sitting outside. View menu

We had dinner here early on a Monday night in March. Booked a table. Had deep fried seafood, pulled beef brisket burger and a kid's sausage and chips followed by chocolate pudding and rhubarb trifle. It was all very good. The service was very slow. It took about half an hour for the desserts to arrive and almost as long to get the bill. They took the desserts off as an apology, saying it was much busier than they expected.

A lovely, friendly pub and restaurant. Staff friendly and efficient. Drinks selection extensive enough and well-priced. There is definitely something for everyone. Great cookery, sauces excellent. The kitchen really know what they are doing. Three sharing plates (pictured), two of the most expensive mains, two desserts, a half craft beer, a good bottle of Gruner and a coffee was £94 before a tip. Other three course options are available at discounted price.
