Return visit. Lovely friendly pub and dog friendly. We had a carvery which was lovely as it has been on previous occasions. Great service .

Absolutely delicious, home cooked food with great service. Plenty of food and good value for money. Good safety measures in place too with lots of social distancing.

A friendly pub with very helpful staff and home cooked food. In these tricky times they also implemented the COVID controls very professionally which made us feel very safe.

Under Covid restrictions best to book. A nice quiet pub. Greeted with a friendly smile under the mask Table Service was polite and pleasant. Plenty of room and well spaced out . Our meals were very nice too . The puddings just as nice .

we popped in for an evening meal while staying in the area. This is a really friendly pub with lovely food. We enjoyed helping one of the regulars finish his crossword! Make sure you read their newsletter they raise an impressive amount for charity, and also have community events on.

Just had good home-cooked meals at this roadside pub. Booked and gave our order over phone so that when we turned up food was on the table in 10 minutes, soon after drinks arrived!We all enjoyed hearty, tasty meals, lasagne, (veggie and meat options) and liver and onion. All done with Covid safety spacing.

Waited patiently till the 5 o'clock hour and went back to the restaurant, placed my order garlic and mushroom ciabata delivered promptly and very nice,and for my main I had steak and ale pie with skin on fries and my wife had the salmon and prawn tagliatelle, again sufficient gap my pie fresh puff pastry and packed with chunky steak cooked to perfection and my wife proudly acclaimed fresh pasta and the fish to in a creamy tomato and garlic sauce

Visited here with some of my family and thoughly enjoyed it!! Because of COVID they managed to put us all together on separate tables in a little side room that they had. We had a variety of different dishes including lasagne, chicken curry and the big favourite fish pie which was absolutely delicious! We enjoyed ourselves so much that we booked again for the Saturday, pre-ordering 7 fish pies! When we couldn't visit on the Saturday due to a few of my family members feeling unwell we called them to see if we could take the food away so that it didn't go to waste. They provided all of the plates and cutlery that we needed and could not of been more helpful!! Loving pub ran by lovely people!

We stayed fairly near this pub and were told that it was a 'local ' place to eat. It did not look much from the outside, just a traditional pub but the food provided was very good indeed. There was a good choice (considering COVID restrictions in place so numbers limited) of meals. They were fesh ingredients, home made in most cases, very tasty and very good portions. We enjoyed it so much we went back again later in the week and although it was extremely busy ouside (large number of bikers) the staff still gave very good service and the food was still as good, piping hot and tasty. Prices were quite reasonable.The arrangements for COVID that the pub had in place made us feel safe.A very goo...
