"4 of us went for a meal on a Friday evening, we booked in advance but it wasn't that busy and we would of been able to get a table even if we hadn't. Some of us had starters and mains some had mains and desserts, I was really naughty and had all 3 . The Packhorse is one of those places you wish was closer to home it's a lovely pub with very friendly staff and all of the meals were excellent, we would 100% return if we are ever in the area again. If you are reading this review to decide whether or not to eat here then believe me do not hesitate get yourself along there you will not be disappointed. I just stopped by for lunch and had a fantastic pint of Wainwright along with a huge BLT and skinny fries. The service was great, even though they were incredibly busy. Food and drinks: 5. Service: 5. Location: 5.

The staff were delightful and the food was excellent. The portions were quite large, and we couldn't finish our main courses. We both felt a bit guilty for leaving so much uneaten, but we thoroughly enjoyed everything we did manage to eat.

The main course offerings were impressive and reasonably priced. My wife and I opted for the Lamb Henry, and it did not disappoint! It was a magnificent cut of meat—absolutely fabulous, huge, and full of flavor. It certainly surpassed any lamb shank I've ever tasted. The others in our group chose scampi, a curry, and a burger, all of which were also delicious and served in large portions. Overall, it was an exceptional meal at a great price.
