"Very Roman cuisine, quite tasty. The artichokes are excellent, fried and golden, as are the Giudia style ones; delicious fettuccine alla gricia with broad beans; didn 't like the breaded lamb cutlets with artichokes (very small portion for the price and the cutlets were dry and flavourless). The zabaglione semifreddo is excellent, as are the very fresh strawberries. Service quite slow (only one waiter to serve many tables). Price: €40.00 per person for starter, first or second course, dessert, water and coffee."

Cozy place, it seems good but it 's not. No paper menu (perhaps just by asking) excellent broad beans, also the Giudia-style artichokes and the boiled meatballs (10 euros per artichoke) but forgettable lamb with a let 's say wild flavor and oxtail with an acidic sauce.

Thanks once again to Sici for directing me towards Ristorante Pecorino in Testaccio (Via Galvani 64). This family-owned restaurant and is frequented mainly by Romans, which is always a good sign. Run by an old Roman couple, Pecorino is a nice alternative to Da Felice, which is always packed. Order the Fettucine alla Gricia, perhaps the best pasta alla gricia in Rome. If you want to break with tradition, try the gricia with fave (fava beans).
