"The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with beautiful decor and excellent coffee. However, I was disappointed with the long wait time and high prices. I waited 55 minutes with my two small children for just two breakfasts (poached egg and avocado). When the food finally arrived, the eggs were overcooked, the yolks were hard, and the dish was cold. There was no seasoning, and the toast was already covered in avocado and eggs, making the butter unnecessary. I also paid an extra £2.50 for one slice of bacon, which I felt was extremely pricey for a basic breakfast. Overall, the meal was not worth the high cost."

Very expensive for the service provided, kids milkshake came wrong. Ordered teacakes, lack of enthusiasm from staff. Swapped items for items that not in stock. For a peak season service. I won't be returning 1 given Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes: Scones

We visited many restaurants in Saundersfoot and found Periwinkle to be a great little spot. However, we unfortunately arrived when it was very busy, which is a good sign, but we were placed at a table in a walkway which didn't enhance the atmosphere. We would consider visiting again, perhaps during a less busy time. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 View menu

We tried Periwinkle with a very helpful young waitress who suggested the battered prawns salad with chips. I settled for a small bowl of muscles which was cooked blandly without white wine celery making no jus as well as three shells failed to open. Without my wife 's shared oil cooked tasty light chips it would of been meager. To compensate this we had two churros with thick melted chocolate 'delightful '. Food: 4

During a day out in Saundersfoot, we decided to stop for lunch at the Bistro. We sat outside and enjoyed fish finger sandwiches and a ham salad, both served with chips. The service was good and the meals were excellent. However, the atmosphere was lacking as we dined outside. We may have been among the last customers to be served, as some were asked to come back later. The Bistro should reconsider this decision on busy days as they seemed to lose a significant number of customers. Despite this, I would still recommend visiting the Bistro for the delicious food.

"And lucky old us wow! This was a great surprise, we had no idea we were coming into something so unusual and so good. The garden space is very big and on the lawn, amongst the flowers, herbs and vegetable beds sit tables and chairs, mainly made of roughly hewn wood, plus tenty sheddy structures with heaters, teepee looking things and probably other structures I didn't take in.We were there when it was dark and there were strings of lights throughout the garden and it was all stunning and rather difficult to take in!The service was occasionally scatty but always well meaning and pleasant and mostly very professional and rightly proud of what they do, the place and the food they serve. The food! We were so thrilled with the food after some not very good experiences locally and, as others have said, we wished we'd found it earlier and been able to book another night.I had the pork belly which must have been cooking for hours, apart from the rind (not exactly crackling but still crispy and wonderful) I could cut the meat with my fork love to know how to achieve it. No taste had been lost in the cooking process and the fat was there but was kind of crumbly so it was gorgeous. And it came with great slices of home pickled carrot and fennel which was just delicious with a hint of sweetness and a hint of spice. And a puree which I believe was cauliflower. And don't forget the delicious little black pudding rissole that comes with it.As you can see, I could go on and on! My partner loved his succulent lamb, which was served with the same vegetables. Oh, and we had side dishes of seasonal greens and roasted beetroot and goats cheese these were also yummy and well flavoured, side dish didn't mean unimportant.Sadly, we didn't have dessert, what can I say, bet they're ace. This is far too long, do visit if you can it's a real treat with great cooking and lovely people."
