"Very charming restaurant, small, the lovely manager speaks English and she is very helpful at expediting service. I was amazed at the fact i went to wash my hands and this place provides guests with a real towel to dry your hands, big plus the bathrooms were very clean. Had a nice table of 4, with good sidewalk view and chairs that were comfortable. Only down side was that lots of people were smoking outside. Therefore, smoke is everywhere ( i dont smoke and we all dislike it) but not much we can do while visiting France. We decided to try a tapas style restaurant that had seafood, just because we were avoiding meat. Oddly, this place had steak and burgers on its menu. None the less, our friend suggested we eat here. The menu was done on a big chalkboard that was on the sidewalk. Manager explained as best as she could, some stuff had to be googled for a quick translation. The entire menu was interesting. Started the seafood tapad with grilled razor clams that had a nice aromatic sprinkle of parsley with white wine and butter yummo. The carpaccio of scallop was thinly pounded into a disk drizzle with olive oil, a nice coating of fine crushed nuts and citrus but really this is simplicity done to the highest degree so that the flavors create depth among each other. Baby clams with white wine and parsley. Not a lot of clam but very flavorful parsley. The least favorite tapa was the baroque pate, in the USA this would be more like a country style pate with a rough chop consistency, very lean with a minerality but not something i would recommend. We wanted to try a soup, so i specifically order the melon gazpacho with sweet peas and chantillie cream (cream slightly sweetened with a mint chiffonade; mind blowing ) the texture was very smooth the sweet cream and mint worked their magic to marry all the flavors. This is a definite must have if you see it on menu. We wanted ceviche, unfortunately they ran out, .We ordered a bottle of petit chablis that was light to the palate and very complimenting to the various tapas. We also order 2 plates of the black squid ink pasta. So this plate was very harmoniously done. Seems like the chef really has keen eye for detail. You you have roasted tomato that is naturally sweet, enhanced with a little vinager for character. Fresh parmesano cheese, pickled achovies. Wow the pasta was done ala minute and al dente. My only complaint was bigger serving but i know small servings let you taste more items on menu, which was good because we knew we had to try desseert. In all honesty, this small restaurant had won me for life with simple, fresh and elegant tapas that bring out about the remarkable skills of the chef who thought out the menu. On the other hand the food kept a lean path, no heavy sauces, out if the while menu only few items were beef, pork or veal the rest were seafood which we really all loved. One of the tapas which i kindly refer to as the step child tapa was veal tartare with sweet potatoe puree. This was good on its own but due to the fact we were craving seafood it really had no chance. The veal was done in a rough chop style with capers, onion and mustard salt and pepper. Not bad but not a favorite by any means. At this loint we order a 2nd bottle of wine. We had a nice pinot noir, very light and young to balance the menu before us. Dessert was kept simple. Profiteroles with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate, superb. The other dessert was something that looked like a french toast, tender moist with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.Outstanding evening, wish i could have met the chef to pay my compliments. Overall outstanding service, attentive, not intrusive with food that had substance and elegance"

TA led me wrong! This place is cute and was filled with locals so our expectations were high. We should have known when we realized that one server was tending to both the upstairs and downstairs. She was nice but overwhelmed, too overwhelmed to be patiently helpful. My command of French is okay and I still could not decipher many of the menu items. Our server tried to help but she was too busy and her mastery of English was not good enough for her to be of real assistance. Our wines were delicious! Our food, however, was hit or miss (mostly miss). The octopus/chorizo appetizer was very good but the linguine and other seafood entrees were disappointments. No way wouldI return nor could I rec...
