"I was not impressed with this restaurant. I chose it because it seemed like a safe choice compared to other options in the village. Randall's Bar Brasserie is a nice place with friendly staff, but I was disappointed with the limited and unexciting menu. I wonder what visitors from other countries think when they see it. The focus on desserts seemed excessive to me. Despite that, it was still a better option than the hotel restaurant, which seemed overpriced. After much consideration, I ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad. There was plenty of chicken, but it was overwhelmed by too many anchovies and dressing. While I was not satisfied with my meal, others around me seemed to enjoy their food. I'm unsure about my overall opinion."

Popped in for a warming tea and coffee. Good sized pots of tea and coffee. Quality of tea and coffee good. Properly served by properly trained smart staff. Good value.

We ate here one evening during a recent stay at the hotel. The staff are very good and the service was excellent. The food selection was good with a few specials too. A good selection of wines and beers from the bar as well.

Four of us for dinner and we all had something different, we had high expectations due to the reputation, whilst everything was OK it wasn't great and £14.95 for a burger is expensive when it is only OK. Pudding was dry and custard had lots of small lumps in it.

Really not a very pleasant experience. Very limited menu which is very expensive for what you get. Tiny room off the bar with no door so noise of the bar drowns out your conversation. Food served on slates un named fish in fish and chips and £15 to boot. Charge less, sell more! View menu

I dined solo at a charming restaurant and had a delightful experience. I started with some appetizers to save room for the delectable dessert. The heritage tomatoes with goats cheese were amazing, and the dusted squid was cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overly intrusive. The summer pudding for dessert was one of the best I've ever had. Absolutely delicious!

Stopped off for an unplanned lunch and a drink at Randalls, a sandwich each, one cheese with onion relish, one beef and horseradish, we also ordered a bowl of chips to share and a bowl of salad. Sandwiches were both very nice and well filled, chips were very good and the salad lovely and fresh. We also had a desert, as we were in the home of The Pudding Club and my favourite is on the menu ! Pleasant and relaxed hotel brasserie, good service always.

Called in at lunchtime and had a relaxing drink and a lovely meal. Michelle tried a different gin ...... Monkey 47 and I the nominated driver went 0% alcohol ! We chose starters of chicken liver pate and I had Parma ham salad, both very good and mains of trout served with prawn and dill sauce and I chose bass with crab risotto. We finished our lunch with coffee 's. Service in the brasserie bar was very good, friendly, welcoming and chatting with customers. Well done young man ! We will be back ...... superb food and service and not expensive. View menu

Family visit on the lunchtime before Christmas Eve. Hadn 't been for some years since moving house but were feeling nostalgic after receiving Three Ways Leaflet through our door in Welford. Lovely meal and still as friendly and welcoming as ever. Camembert and duck pancakes were great, steak and kidney pudding wonderful and trout 'special ' delicious. The trio of puddings was sublime! Brought back so many memories of earlier visits. Will be going again next weekend and delighted to discover they allow well-behaved dogs in the bar area. Many thanks to their whole team.

The restaurant has a dining room with around 10 tables and 3 to 4 tables surrounding the bar. It was surprisingly empty at 1.20pm, so we had the entire dining room to ourselves. It seemed like the main restaurant was busy, given the number of cars in the car park. The Sunday Lunch menu was minimalistic. The service was quick and attentive. My Sunday roast main course was the best I've had in years, with a generous portion size and delicious crispy roast potatoes. For dessert, I had the spotted dick with custard, which was excellent, as expected at the Pudding Club Hotel. Overall, we both enjoyed our meal, although the atmosphere was a bit lacking. The total bill for two people, including two...

"rebooked the garden space in the dormy house during the stay near the fish hotel. the environment was very warm and welcoming, and overall eating was very good. but the service was lacking and made us confused by reconciliation. In view of the thoughtful and extensive weinlist we could see one of our favourite mixes from South Africa on the menu. after ordering, and about 15 minutes later, the server back to say there was a mistake, and they put the wrong varietal on the list and wanted to serve us a completely différent wein from this manufacturer. we ordered another bottle in harmony with the food we ordered. but our appetizers came before our wine. wait another 15 minutes (we are now 30 minutes in our dinner without wine) and the waiter comes with another bottle saying that they have lost our bottle, but for us to drink this while we wait. no explanation and not even the wine she poured. that was the last thing we saw from our waiter, because somehow the room was busy and she took the other guests for the rest of the night. we finally got our wee who was brought to the table without the cork. strange practice to get a restaurant of this caliber. when we finished our dessert, we fought for 20 minutes to get every server to recognize us or to delete our records. So we went to the server station to ask for the bill. we have observed our server work at least seven different tabs before we had to go up a second time. when the bill came, the server did not even ask us how our dinner was. we gave our credit card and the other server took it away. she returned 10 minutes later to say that she lost the connection. she gave us the card back and canceled the processing statement and said she couldn't charge our card. she did not know what to do and asked if we were with him at the reception (even if we were not guests of the hotel) will not return."
