"An old pub/cafe in this quaint Orkney village, we stopped in for a warm drink on a wet Sunday afternoon. The pub interior was quaint and characterful the service far less so. We watched with bewilderment (perched on the bar stools we'd been directed to) as couples and families came in to be told by the young staff that there was no space. Actually, all it needed was for tables to be separated a little and they could have accommodated at least 3 more groups. (One group were clearly so intent on eating they sat outside in their coats under a large umbrella). Good service costs nothing and the owner that afternoon lost quite a bit of custom because his bar staff didn't have the gumption to be a little more accomodating."

Great little cafe/restaurant/bar. Good service and nice atmosphere. Recommend the lentil soup and the sticky toffee pudding.

Passing by and stopped for lunch, food was amazing and very good portion sizes. The chocolate milkshake was delicious. Staff very friendly.

The best lentil soup I have ever had. Great coffee, although if you are from Melbourne or like it strong, get a triple shot! The carrot cake with cream cheese icing was great.

Visited this cafe in September. What a lovely place with super-friendly and helpful staff. We had the soup and veggie burger and both were delicious! Such a beautiful historic building. Would highly recommend you visit! View menu

Just arrived on South Ronaldsay and, although they were very busy and we didn't have a reservation, Robertson's made space for us in their conservatory. Great service, generous portions and delicious food, great start to the holiday! Thank you!

I stopped for lunch and had one of their homemade pizzas, which was incredibly delicious. The 11-inch pizza we shared was so filling that we both struggled to finish it! The service was great, with very pleasant staff and a very clean establishment. I would highly recommend stopping here before or after taking the ferry.

The best takeaway pizza in Orkney by a long shot. I placed my order over the phone and despite a spotty phone signal, the pizza was ready and waiting for me. Much better than any other pizza places in the area, with a delicious stuffed crust and authentic base. The 11 inch size was great value and satisfied me both in the morning and before bed. Bright, busy, buzzy place with a range of seating, but more importantly, a range of draft beers! Including Swannay Brewery 'Muckle ' a really nice one. And an appetising menu food is good, portions are generous, service friendly and efficient. Crab salad was very tasty! Probably a plan to book for evenings and weekends it 's very popular with locals and visitors alike.

We highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as the restaurant was completely full when we arrived. Fortunately, we had booked ahead and our table was ready for us. The food was deliciously prepared, beautifully presented, and portions were generous. However, one downside was that the Scapa Skillen sauce, which came with the haggis and black pudding balls, contained mushrooms. Since I have a mushroom allergy, I wish this had been mentioned on the menu so I could have avoided that dish. Despite this small issue, we enjoyed our meal overall. One of the highlights was the availability of vegan options, including complimentary ice cream, which was a pleasant surprise compared to other re...
