We had dinner today. The food was excellent. Spaghetti a la carbonara, the margarita pizza and the starter. The cheese cake!!!!!! Music amazing The staff as well. Last minute booking for 50th birthday. Staff were absolutely brilliant. Sat us in the window seat as requested and the young waiter did a great job with the women in the group, even though they’d had a few too many. The food was disappointing; the carbonara was nearly inedible—dry, flavorless, and not served hot. I could barely finish half of it. The service was equally lacking. I had to ask for a finger bowl and the dish for the moules, which took a while to arrive. When it came to dessert, the cheesecake never showed up. After finishing our coffees (which were good, by the way), I tried to cancel the dessert only to find that the waiter had completely forgotten we’d ordered it! Next to us, a couple who had engaged in friendly conversation ended up leaving after just a starter. Unfortunately the service I was given a couple of weeks ago was just appalling. A week previously I had a take away from Sicily and it was missing a main of calamari. When I got home I phoned and spoke to a very nice lady who had served me. She apologised greatly and said she had put a note to say that next time I would be given a refund off of the next payment. When I came to pick up the new order I was told there was no record of that and I was accused of trying to get a free meal. When I had placed my order I explained to the person in charge and then when paying I was told that the original lady had left and a new diary had been started so they would not give me a refund.
