"We happened to be passing on the way back from a birthday outing at the nearby RAF museum for my young son. We needed to eat and TGIs is usually a safe and good option. We arrived at an obviously quiet time about 5pm on a Monday and were waiting nearly 10 mins for someone to seat us even though the place was only 5% full. Food we ordered was just ok. Cheeseburger was flat and unexpired but the meat was good quality. My wife's rack of ribs was acceptable and my sons pasta dish was decent though as usual despite being young the dish was piping hot and a scalding risk for young fingers. Service was friendly and quick if not a little informal and it was of no interest to our waiter really that it was our sons birthday despite him wearing an age badge and was excited to be there. It was just dull food and a dimly lit table. The worst bit was where the toilets were no lights so couldn't even see where the men's were and inside they were filthy disgusting and I had to ask my wife to take our son to the toilet as it was unacceptable. Nasty. Dirty. Disappointing you wouldn't find this in the central London TGIs and there they make a lot of fuss about children and give them something to occupy themselves with."

The restaurant was extremely noisy and hot. Also orders were not as requested. Not somewhere I would choose to go again

Food is fine, but the price makes it poor value for money. Milkshakes and deserts are huge and very good. Probably a great place to treat some tweens for a good report card. View menu

Flying visit after Silverstone.....food wasn't great that Sunday evening.....it was buzzing with atmosphere, the service was mediocre.....took a while for the drinks and food to arrive and then a long pause for the main...it was like all the kitchen staff went on a break ....surrounding tables was experiencing the same wait.

we were a company of 4 and we ordered 8 dishes at 17:35 and we didn't ask to serve them all together but whenever they are ready.one of these dishes was a steak and in the menu said that it needs 25 mins to cook.at 18:10 we didn't have any dish on ur tables and the tables next to us which came after 20 mins at least after us they were eating. when I asked what happened with our order the waitress said:I am sorry but it's not the first time that we have the same problem with this steak,UNACCEPTABLE,it wasn't only the steak and when u know that u have this problem why u don't inform ur costumers. we cancel the order at 18:40 and they didn't apologise. I'm getting a bit old for the whole TGI experience but last Saturday I had a really good meal experience. The restaurant is tucked behind a garage so you have to have your wits about you to not miss it. Being out of the way means that arriving without a reservation at 8pm on a Saturday night meant only a short wait. Our waitress was very good and asked the key questions in between the songs to avoid confusion. The drinks were refillable which was ace. We had starts to share which was plenty and a decent sized main course. The presentation of the food was excellent meaning a fairly standard beanburger and chips combo actually looked like something not thrown together in the kitchen. Sure the...

I used loved coming to this restaurant for the quiet intimate location and atmosphere (which you dont get often! this equalled perfect table service.Over the last 3 years since the surrounding businesses have started closing down (so its not very attractive from the outside .I have visited 4 times in the last year, out of hope because I really liked this restaurant and on every occasion it has been bad which is sad.We had to let ourselves in as there was noone to greet us at the door.Once seated, we had to call the lady over to take our order, after about 20 minutes. The food has never come as ordered and had to go back to be changed. One occasion it was burnt. We went at Easter and our little...

"I thought I should write a review for sofalino, 2 wonderful evenings spent there over the last month, once for my birthday meal with family, and then again a few nights to dinner with my sister. I've been here since its opening 5 years ago, and it's one of my favorite in north london. the food I had eaten at my birthday dinner was undoubtedly the finest food I had tasted since my vacation in italy in the last summer. after having enjoyed the soft, velvety brot and plump juicy oliven, I shared the antipasto for 2 with my sister for the starter and went for the cow mouse for the pornstar. the antipasto is fantastic; it contains prosciutto, salami, mortadella and breesaola for the cultivated meat, roasted aubergine, courgette and red paprika for the vege and is served on many rockets with circustomates, artichokes and black olives. but the absolute high points of the plate were the buffalo bocconcini, deep roasted valleyggio in the brothcrümeln and gorgonzola arancini. so many beautiful aromas to enjoy, and this is only in the starter! the kalbsmilanese was crooked and fritted to perfection, and was huge! my vater, mama and I decided to go with gorgonzola and spinat gnocchi, instead of the standard linguine napoletana, which to potentially one of the best main courses I have ever eaten outside italian. other dishes that are worth mentioning from this night are the pappardelle with venison and porcini mushrooms, and the gnocchi alla sorrentina. when it was my birthday, they had made me a stunning chocolate cake with fresh strawberries, which covered the meal nicely. for my meal last night I had the antipasto, of course, but this time the arancini even better was the last time she had saffron in, which is possibly my favorite last thing. I had the calzone for the main course, which was simply delicious with a lot of ham and mushroom filling and a nice teigy but crispy crust. I went to dessert the day for pudding, completely forget my clients quickly from no cake / sweet tasty things, but it was totally worth because my huuuge disc birne, mandel and ricota tart was from the top drawer; my sister had only one bit of the baked crust and she still talked about how incredible it was the next day! sofalino also has a very high quality wine list; the primitivo 'il pumo ' is a personal favorite of our, with its dark, smooth, laumen intense taste. at both of these locations the restaurant was full and flowering, and the personal friendly and attentive; just what they want from an Italian restaurant. without doubt, I will be back sooner than later."
