"the voucher led us to this restaurant. it is located in the immediate vicinity of the shopping house "k in Lautre".We were the only guests on a Sunday afternoon / early evening. We were served immediately. the candle at the table was lit and the menu was brought. on the table were elaborately folded serviettes covered. We ordered icetea - that was a tasty typical thai icetea, however with quite many ice cubes. as main dishes there were pad thai and a chicken curry. On the menu there was always the sharpness. To the curry I was asked separately when ordering whether I can eat sharply. the food came up timely and was served appealingly. on a push and with beautiful cutlery. at pad thai additionally with chopsticks.Shouldingly the curry was good. I would have liked to have a little bit more colourful. it was a lot of bambus, only isolated paprika strips. On the table a spicy was taken. with 4 different. one of them with the hint that this is a sharp one. When we asked about the bill, the voucher was already directly charged. The process was therefore running without problems. Conclusion: you can eat well undisturbed in rest, is served friendly. the ambiente is a little old-fashioned - but clean and loving. The foods could get a little more ground for price/performance."

This Thai food was very fresh and very flavorful. The service was great and size of the restaurant was large enough to accommodate loads of people. There is easy access to public parking in really two nearby lots, but the food is the main reason to come. The prices are reasonable, and they take card.

Wonderful family owned restaurant. Owners are very polite and service is excellent. Food is very tasty, has a home cooked feel. Pad Thai is exceptionally good and also the crispy duck with vegetables. Proper Thai food experience with excellent atmosphere. Pricing and portions are very reasonable as well. Recommended!

I took a friend for lunch who had never been. He was very pleased as I was reintroduced to the reason I love this place. It's friendly and cozy atmosphere will welcome you. The dishes will keep you coming back. I always... always get the duck with spicy curry in coconut milk and rice. The pineapple and veggies cooked in the delicious curry sauce are perfect. You can always ask for extra spicy too and they have no problem fulfilling your wish. View menu

The menu is endless, but you don't even need to open it. Number 93, Pad Thai. The curry there is wonderful, but I somehow keep ordering shrimp Pad Thai every time. They also have a Thai beer on the menu called Singha, I highly recommend it. The service is beyond anything else in Kaiserslautern. There's one lady that always seats you and serves your table and she is the absolute best. There is no better Asian restaurant in the area than Thairama.

This place does not deserve the rating that it has on trip advisor. It is a 2.8 at best. The décor is not bad and the place is clean but the food was the worst Thai I have ever had. I love Thai food and red curry is my favorite. I ordered red curry chicken and it was not like any red curry chicken I have ever had. It tasted like Indian food, and I am Indian I even like Indian food but when I order Thai and I want Thai I expect to get what I want. This is hands down the worst, garbage can Thai place I have ever visited in my life. I was so upset I didn't even tip.

"Holiday, nice weather and still what to do in Kaiserslautern. We planned our start in Kaiserslautern with a light lunch. We visited Ayame for the first time 3 years ago. It is located in the former JVA Kaiserslautern, which was converted a few years ago into the Hotel Alcatraz. A Japanese restaurant fits well here, because the Japanese garden borders directly on the building. We have free parking in the courtyard. Schlichter hotel entrance, only hidden hints at the restaurant The way to the small restaurant leads past the reception. At 13.45 we entered the small restaurant with few seats and hoped to have a seat. Open until 14.00. A long-term construction site on the way to Kaiserslautern forced us to a rather large detour. We were the only guests, were warmly welcomed by a young man. Our question whether we get anything else to eat was kindly hunted. So we took a seat in the small, Japanese-style dining room and got the menu. Optic hasn't changed much since our last visit. Everything is clean and well maintained, bare tables. Daylight only illuminates the room. Unfortunately, you can't look outside. . The menu surprised me. She was partly handwritten and so completely different from my memory. Due to the advanced time, we decided very quickly: 2 large mineral water € 2.50 Foreway to crumb: Edamame € 4.20 For both of us: Sushi Menu € 13.80: Miso Soup, 3 Sushi Nigiri, 4 pieces Hosomaki, 8 pieces Uramaki Our drinks came immediately and well cooled. A good portion of the salted soybeans a little later. The hot beans in the bowl were a tasty crackling beforehand. The young man supported a (his? wife in the open kitchen. Here I was able to observe how the Misosuppe was tasted and the lady freshly prepared our sushi. That made all a very good impression. View into the open kitchen The steaming soup with tofu insert tasted mild and yet aromatic according to the Wakamealga. After a reasonable waiting period, our sushi were served. Very appealing. The 3 Nigiri classic with salmon, shrimp and tuna. The “Makis” pefect rolled, very good in taste. Overall a good portion, we were pleasantly tired. There was really nothing to complain about for the price. Sushi Menu The young man was very attentive, but to expect from two guests. In between the question whether everything tastes. Wasabi, soy sauce and ginger were handed down. In the case of numbers, the solution for the significantly different menu. The young Japanese couple only took over the restaurant a few weeks ago. This also explained that some processes have not yet been very routined. Stay to hope that the small restaurant will talk to friends of Japanese cuisine. Despite proximity to the city, it is very hidden in the building complex. Running is not coming over here and not every hotel guest likes Sushi. The toilets belong to Hotel Alcatraz, are modern, very clean and well maintained. Restaurant and toilets are walkable and without stairs."
