"What really sets The Alex apart is its prime location right on the seafront, providing stunning views of the ocean, beach, and pier. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, often discussing their recipes and extensive beer and wine selection with patrons. The bar offers a wide range of beers and wines and has a lively atmosphere, particularly in the evenings when the indoor seating area is bustling. The outdoor area is heated, attracting both smokers and dog walkers and giving the bar a vibrant and energetic vibe. The only downside is that on sunny days, the road outside can be busy with cars full of youngsters driving by. However, overall, The Alex is an excellent choice for any time of year, whether it be a sunny summer day or a cold and rainy winter evening."

Owned by the same individual as Bencotto, however, the food at this restaurant is of a much superior quality. It is definitely worth the price, and the menu is quite diverse, making it suitable for those with gluten sensitivities as well.

Found The Alex on the boardwalk in Felixstowe. Although you order at the bar all the staff was very friendly and the food was served fast. Fish and chips were the best I had in the UK. Great atmosphere. If you are looking for a great meal this is the place.

The staff are generally great at the Alex, but the food, even basic stuff like a bowl of chips, can be very variable. We used to love going there for the nachos, but even these have changed from the best I’ve ever had, to the worst. It’s basically just a bag of nachos tipped on a plate, with hardly any cheese and even harder to find pulled pork. It really isn’t good enough for what they charge. We’ll continue to go for drinks but will go elsewhere for food.

The Alex is a great cafe on beach road overlooking the sea, in Felixstowe. Parking is a black art in Felixstowe, especially when the weather is warm, but the cafe benefits from both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is good standard cafe style fayre and it is possible to even ask for a few things that might not be on the menu (such as bacon sandwiches). The chocolate milkshake isn't bad either my only complaint is that it is a bit small! The cafe also gets a tick for being dog friendly (for those seated outside). There are bowls of water laid out for our four legged friends.

We popped into the downstairs cafe-bar for a spot of lunch whilst running errands in felixstowe. The atmosphere was really good (for a dreary monday lunch.. and the place was really clean and well looked after. Had a couple of beers and ham, egg and chips each for lunch. Food was excellent, chunky hand cut ham, thick and chunky chips. Cookies and ice cream for dessert! The food and service were first class. Absolutely fantastic all round. The only slight fly in the ointment was the unpleasent odour in the gents. but then it is a toilet after all! Prices are not cheap, but certainly not expensive either. Highly reccomended.

This café/restaurant offers the best of both worlds. Those looking for a more relaxed dining experience can enjoy indoor and outdoor seating with a standard café menu featuring delicious beef burgers. The location is perfect for leisurely Sunday afternoons, with the option to take a stroll along the seafront after your meal. The upstairs restaurant offers a more upscale experience, with a peaceful atmosphere, dedicated waitstaff, and a sophisticated menu. The antipasti starter for two is fantastic, despite its seemingly high price of £12. The generous portions make it well worth it. My favorite main dish was the baked cod, and the view of the ocean adds to the ambiance, making you feel like...

"Sunday of our recent visit to aldeburgh was the Mother's Day and we welcomed the opportunity to taste the afternoon tea in the white lion hotel in adleburgh. the conditoir chef at the white lion is anmar odendal, an award-winning wedding cake designer. by her business crumb, she was recognized in 2013 by the high-time industry as the best wedding cake designer in the eastern englands. Our afternoon tea was florally inspired and included a selection of sandwiches, scones, cakes and pastries with a selection of tea, a glass champagne and a little pot flowers for mama, all at an incredible price of £20. it was overexamination good value and hard to think that we could get so much for so little. in a comparable iondon establishment would cost a afternoon as this probably at least £35 to £40. the selection of the fingersandwiches was delicious and included standard fillings such as gurke, sink, ei and water circles. the scenes were quite seductive, as they presented us an appealing texture. the outer was crispy and the interieur was soft. warm stuffed, the scones went floating with the dipped cream and delicious homemade skyberry jam. to the sweet things (my favorite part of a afternoon,) and on the top level of the tablet there were some beautiful pink meringue sandwiches lined with rosen water chantilly cream. these were delicate and as light as spring, and the combination with the cream was a good one. also on the top level was a zesty orange flower and vanille panna cotta sown with Indian orange blossom water and with fresh orange cest, popping sweets and a berry jelly. the jelly was particularly delicious as he was very fruity and helped to lift the panna cotta. the popping sweets was also a good note and gave the panna cotta an exciting twist. the panna cotta itself had a good consistency, but needed a little more vanilla for more taste. to move on the floor, and we really enjoyed the dark chocolate breweries as these were decadent and rich with an intense chocolate-y quality. the lavender sprocket was buttery and light, and the homemade makkarons of beet root and berry with a vanilla buttercream frosting filling were very welcoming. the macaron dishes were a little dense in the texture, but the taste combinations were a joy and were a joy to eat. a pistachio viktoriaschwamm came with a fabulous rose blossom jam center that really lifted the sponge with its sweet and exciting nature. it was a wonderful combination, and the sponge itself had a nice taste, although it was a touch dry. the themes for the afternoon tea on the white lion will change with the time as chef anmar constantly seeks new ideas and brings colorful inventions to the table. but is sure that every afternoon tee will be very pleasant. unique, colorful and funny, the pastries we tried were inviting to eat and showed solid technology. her creativity demonstrated the artistic and originality in her design. the sandwiches and skorn were also very good, and at a ridiculously reasonable price of £20 per head, the white lion showed that it is doing really well in the afternoon. I calculate today afternoon tee with 3.75/5"
