"UPDATE 2024: We revisited the hotel this year and sadly standards have dropped. The food menu is nowhere near as good as last year. The only vegan item on the menu was the unimaginative Moving Mountains burger which most pubs offer. I feel the to quality chef they used to have may have moved on. Good range of beers on tap still.. 2023 review: We didn't actually stay at the hotel but a nearby campsite and walked there a couple of afternoons for meals and drinks. This is a lovely place to visit with views across the bay. We weren't expecting much, being the only bar/pub for miles but the food and service was top notch. Prices are fairly typical for pub food but the quality is exceptional it felt like a Michelin star restaurant! We went for the vegan choices which were delicious. The staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. We'll definitely visit again when in the neighbourhood."

There are not as many vegan options at this restaurant compared to others nearby, but they do offer a vegan dessert choice.

1 homemade vegan option of beet root Risotto and 1 vegan burger with homemade chips that were beautiful. And a vegan pudding that was delicious! Bonus that it dog friendly and the waitress actually seemed to know what a vegan was! I would recommend booking in advance as it was also busy in the middle week!

The vegan menu discovered on a billboard and randomly no booking got a table, but was quite full. We had the flower wing and Jackfruit Nachos to start and then the Jackfruit Curry and almighty Burger. It was really nice. Not sure everything was homemade, but considering that it is a remote village in the Scottish highlands, we were very impressed! View menu

The restaurant offers one homemade vegan option - beetroot risotto - as well as a vegan burger with homemade chips that were excellent. The vegan pudding was also delicious! A bonus is that the restaurant is dog-friendly and the waitress was knowledgeable about vegan options. I would recommend booking in advance as it tends to get busy, even during the middle of the week!

We came across the vegan menu advertised on a sign and were unable to make a reservation but managed to secure a table, despite the restaurant being quite busy. We started with the flower petal wings and jackfruit nachos, followed by the jackfruit curry and almighty burger. The food was delicious. While we're not sure if everything was made from scratch, we were very impressed considering we were in a secluded village in the Scottish highlands.
