"We only visited the CROFTERS BAR this evening because we had read the reviews. Imagine our disappointment when we did not encounter unpleasant rude bar staff, I only came here for that experience. Instead we were greeted by helpful smiley staff, warm and welcoming. It was busy at 5.30pm, which really is a joy to see in a highland bar at this time of year, most of the ones that I frequent struggle to draw in many more than half a dozen at such an hour. I now understand why it was busy, the service was great, and the food was excellent. We were still in time to take advantage of the 5pm /6pm food happy hour, so we had a ridiculously large bowl of fresh mussels to share as a starter, followed by really nicely done fish n chips a pie of the day from the evening menu. Thoroughly recommend the whole experience, but be prepared for disappointment if like me you came in hopeful expectation of some traditional rude service."

Lovely vintage hotel. Great view. Reasonable sized and comfortable room with a harbor view (14). Friendly and helpful staff. Heartedly enjoyed dinner and breakfast. 10/10 would stay here again.

We were staying at a local B&B, and were so pleased to spot in for a pint in the afternoon and decided to return for dinner that night. The restaurant was so welcoming and food was delicious. There was a lovely atmosphere and all the staff were so kind. Thank you!

Very rude staff, they don’t want you there. Waited for a while for table, but I was being discouraged from eating there. Waitress told me I better find another restaurant, nevertheless few tables were going to be available in few minutes. Food was miserable, just good soup.

Hugely overpriced, tired and scruffy hotel with a 1970’s feel. Door locked itself and joiner had to be called out. Shower tray didn’t drain. I could go on…..Breakfast at 7.45 so missed it. £195 for one person one night. Central London is cheaper. Never thought I would say that. First time I’ve written a review but never felt more ripped off.

This place is what you'd expect for a very old hotel in the middle of nowhere on the Scottish Coast. The room was nice, modern, but a bit dated by today's standards. We had a delightful dinner breakfast, both served by the same person. There's probably a small family that runs the place. Overall, if you're looking for a place to stay to get away to the Islands, this would be the place to do it.

2 nights at the Arisaig. Very friendly staff, enjoyed the restaurant both nights, breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, Sunday breakfast was marred by dueling dogs barking n the breakfast room. I mean, seriously??? Then one of the dogs went after a young boy and scared the devil out of him. Of course, the owners didn’t have any decency to remove their pets. Why the heck these animals need to bring their dogs everywhere?

We came here on a friends trip up North. Visited the Highlands many times but this was the first time visiting this bar. We ate on Friday night and Saturday night. The food was lovely and very fresh. The mussels were amazing! I have had seafood all over the world and these mussels were at the very top! Like butter melting in the mouth. The fish and chips flaked off as it was cooked that well. This is a bar, so it can get busy. People complaining are obviously looking for a different experience. I would always book a table in advance for places like this to make sure i was not disappointed. There are not much places to eat locally and the food is sourced local so the prices are always going t...
