"What a diamond! Haven't been in this restaurant for far too long. Our usual haunt for Sunday lunch was fully booked so we opted for here and how glad am I.Great decor, friendly welcome from the lady front of house, who was obviously knowledgeable of her wine list when we were making our decision. We had a glass of red to go with the roast beef, cooked pink, as stated in the menu although you can request it to be more well cooked the cauliflower cheese was divine as was the light fluffy Yorkshire pud. Plenty of gravy in a boat too so you can add as much as you wish. Couldn't fault it.Had a delicious crisp white with my cranberry bakewell tart with orange creme.All in all a great lunch out and I can't wait to go back. Thank you"

a drink with friends in the early evening was greeted by fantastic bar staff who have mixed us some delicious cocktails. we then ordered some bar snacks all delicious the waiter was nice and very courteous. bit of a hidden gem in taunton x

Well the Ring of Bells couldn't fit us in (Sunday) and this was a great find. They always do good food from memory and this is now our go to for Sunday dinner . Great food wine choice with a very knowledgeable waitress. Just perfect . We won't leave it so long the next time.

I can't recommend this place enough. my man and I go for drinks when we can and eat is always top notch and the staff are fantastic. vicki on the bar knows her coworkers and her masters who are amazing. the owner is a big guy and always tells us hello. it is by far the best place to go for me in the city.

in any case the best meal I enjoyed in taunton. while the ambiente is more gastro-pub, eating is fine. we both started with the tempura soft shell crab. my wife then chose the cod while I had the bokong gay (a house speciality). then we shared the caramelized pineapples for the desert. all washed with excellent weeping through the glass. the personal was charming and knowledgeable and the whole evening was the most beautiful. we're coming back.

we celebrated our high-time day with an unforgettable evening. the atmosphere and the service were perfect and the eating out! I had pork and apricot terrarine, followed by the pan roasted guinea pigeon with roasted new potatoes and a "medley of peas." that eating was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented in portions that were neither too small nor too much, which was exactly so good because I had made a place for a dessert and here there are no cakes to describe the pretty orange threefold! all this accompanied by a delicious sauvignon blanc. this was our second dinner here and we will hopefully be back many times! many thanks to all there.
