"if they find a pub so good, they are almost trying to keep it to themselves, so it doesn't really work, but I can't help recommend the bell is simply the best place to eat locally! each visit was excellent, especially my birthday meal, which was made so special by a really nice experience that enjoyed the whole party. amazing and imaginative cuisine perfectly cooked and with attention to every aspect of the meal, friendly and real staff who clearly love what they do, a beautiful village and ambiente, plus thoughtful touches like delicious craftsman brot and homemade butter (which would have thought, brot and butter could taste so good!? What else could they ask for?"

Today our first visit in the bell was, but it will not be our last. the Yorkshire puppies tasted just like what makes mama. the pub is small, but very comfortable and cozy and the service was fantastic and friendly. when they go for Sunday roasts, I recommend a reservation. the additional bonus to this pub is without doubt, max the dog what a shade!

we love the bell! cozy atmosphere and absolutely delicious food. those and mikey are always ready to catering for all nutritional needs (I am vegan and never had a disappointing meal there.) eating is locally, seasonal and beautifully presented - they can say the amount of care taken over them. good selection of crying, and max the dog is beautiful!

We visited for the first time today and were both most impressed with the Sunday Lunch. Simply superb, my compliments to the chef. The Yorkshire puddings were outstanding! Friendly service, great food, lovely atmosphere. And Max the dog is a sweetheart. There's not a great deal of parking around and it's a relatively small pub so reservations are recommended. We will definitely be back!

I went to lunch with my wife and my baby boy on Wednesday. cordially welcome and service by jen and koch mike prepared us a couple of starter calamari, lammkoftas and the Asian style broth were delicious and so unique for pub grub. we followed this with a beautiful bark plate with petersnip. eating was the highlight of our 1 week stay in the opposite no place to pudding so we hope to try again a few more next time we are in the opposite!

"I’m frustrated and annoyed with booking a romantic meal for our year wedding anniversary, with the current pandemic and work commitments it made a change to make an effort and be excited to visit the boxing hare as the reviews had been excellent. We...were seated in the garden room, next to a family who were on first name terms with the waiting staff and who were so loud I thought I was at a Chelsea match! We received complimentary glasses of champagne and we placed our order for starters and main which were excellent however I felt rushed with the service, as much as I tried to have a conversation all I could hear was this family at decibels to which enough was enough usually I would say something, however rather than ruin there evening I asked for us to be reseated to which the waiting staff were in agreement that they were loud! So why place us next to them? We were given a table in a different part of the pub still busy with other diners giving respect to one another. The table given I was advised I had as it was reserved? I placed dessert order and two lattes with baileys followed by the bill! The bill was a tad on the steep side for a gastro pub perhaps the prices are based on the price of fuel to fill the owners Bentley Overall felt it was a rushed evening disappointed with the seating arrangements,I won’t be returning as I felt what was important to us wasn’t important to the Boxing Hare I’ve had better evenings at The Falkland Arms Great Tew, The Great Western Aynho"
