"we were in the opposite and house hunting. as we drive from many different areas to and from, we often drive past this place. it's easy to drive just like it's a busy main road opposite. for the happiness we were earlier than expected for a visit and so for lunch. I'm glad we did it. outside the signage is a modern feeling and welcoming. when they feel at a traditional country pub and although it seemed to be a place to which the locals go, we were greeted and the staff was very friendly. we sat and the lady took mine, so that they don't fall over. we were allowed to park the car in front of the front window so that we could keep our vehicle in the eye that the dogs had. we didn't know that it was dog friendly. the menu is simple and the prices are reasonable. I chose homemade suppe and a sandwich (a combination offer offered on the menu), this is a great idea, as it saves to pay for two separate dishes. I really liked to think about it. my wife ordered after house lasagne and garlic new kartoffels. the new potatoes were in a creamy garlic sauce and in a separate supplement. my wife said it was very delicious. the facility would be highly recommended when you drive past - remember it is easy to drive, but it is worth stopping when they want good food and a friendly atmosphere. highly recommended and would definitely go back by when we decide to move into the opposite."

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch with a generous selection of vegetables and an excellent variety of options. Plus, every meal came with delicious Yorkshire puddings!

Visited the Boars Head 4 nights in a row due to staying in a caraven just up the road. Staff welcoming food brill and very understanding due to my husband having an eating disorder whatever we ask for they provided. COVID19 rules were adhered to. You have to visit if ever in the locality.

Had Sunday lunch, service was very slow, beef was tough very difficult to cut with my Knife! so I left most of it. veg was lovely but not enough veg, told the waitress about this and she said we could have asked for more, but my lunch would have been cold as they were so slow! there was a couple sitting on the next table and they had the same amount of veg as us for only two!! waited ages for desert, had to ask the waitress if they had forgotten us!! won’t rush back for Sunday dinner!!
