"A great find! We came here for a roast dinner and it was amazing! We have return since for a drink and the atmosphere was really nice. The value for money and quality is great and the staff are really friendly! The pub has been full each time we have been which is a reflection of how lovely it is. I visited Ashwell for the day and decided to dine at a local pub. Unfortunately, I ordered a pie that took a long time to be served even though the pub was empty. The pie was terrible, with raw meat and chewy pastry, as well as overcooked vegetables on the side. I had to send the meal back.
