"A quick search for a dog friendly cafe in the town bright us here on a Sunday lunchtime. We got a nice welcome from a friendly man, and the menu was varied from paninis, sandwiches, jackets, salads, nachos and loads of drink options. We waited quite long for our food but it was delicious and plentiful when it arrived. The waiter remained friendly and chatted to the children. There was a baby changing area outside the toilet, and he brought a water bowl for our dog too. We felt very looked after and it just felt that they do everything right. We will definitely return and maybe next time do some pottery painting-they had a huge range of things to paint, and it was a very relaxing atmosphere in which to do it."

"Outstanding pint of Guinness! Called in for a quick drink at this lovely pub in a beautiful village. A great selection of beer, lager cider and spirits to suit everyone’s taste and the prices were more than reasonable. The Guinnesscould this be the best pint of Guinness in Essex? A great pint of Guinness, served in a new style clean glass using a two part pour method; a very creamy pint indeed. The only tap available was extra cold but it was needed on this warm late summer afternoon."

"My wife and I ate in here on Saturday, we had been advise to go early as they book out quickly. We where seated quickly and started with poppadums with a range of delicious accompaniments, I loved the lime pickle and my wife liked the coconut one. The menu had a wide range of options including Bangladeshi dishes. I loved the allergy guide on the menu as it took the stress out of ordering. We shared crispy, sweet and spicy Onion Bhaji, an Brinjal Bhajee delicate aubergine dish); a Sardines Biran so filling), Chapatil and Shatkora Gosth. The lamb in the Shatkora Gosth was so tender it melted in the mouth hitting your palette with a spicy rich flavour, We did not make it to desert. I enjoyed a glass of house white, which was light and refreshing. Thank you for a wonderful meal. Lynne Annie"

"The restaurant offers excellent service and a friendly atmosphere. The ambiance in the evening is particularly lovely, with beautiful lighting and music playing. It's a wonderful spot for a great dining experience, whether you prefer indoor or outdoor seating. The meals are of high quality, and I truly enjoyed my time there. Everything was cooked to perfection, and I had a fantastic experience filled with laughter. Overall, a wonderful place to dine!"

"You have to wait ages to be seated at a pre booked table. While you wait they give you a bowl of burnt flavor crisps. The food is average dated. Don 't bother asking for a rare steak because it won 't happen, medium at best with the owner actually saying that 's as rare as you 're going to get because my wife cooked it. Everything is way overpriced. You do get big portions but they should think about changing quantity for quality. I was quite disappointed with the punchbowl. This isn 't the first time I have been there but it 's the last time I will be back. With regards to the average outdated food, I meant that they could do with hiring a new head chef to bring the dishes up to date. I was expecting a lot better."
