Lovely family meal with fantastic, attentive service by Alec. Food was delicious and served quickly, with a good range on the festive menu. Will be back!

Excellent service from Caitlyn. She handled a table of 14 with a calm nature, everything perfect. Such a lovely lady. Table was nice although had to sit separate from our children. Food was nice. Bar service prompt. Caitlyn made it super special.

Went there today for Sunday diner me and my 89yr mum. Below pictures are what was served up. A plate of fatty, grissly and chewy meat. Tasted disgusting. Service poor- 2 people were served before us and it was 12 midday. took 20 mins to take the order. Never again View menu

First visit in a while and I wasn't disappointed! The vegan option I chose was amazing sweet potato and pear tart and the pastry was to die for! Presentation was fabulous. My grandson was very pleased with the lamb dish he ordered. We both had a dessert which were both delicious. Well done!

We visit here quite often and been for Sunday lunch at Christmas time for as long as I can remember. We booked the festive menu and paid £5 deposit each. However, on arrival we were given the normal menu and the table was bare. Not even a cracker in sight. We asked for crackers and 5 arrived and were just dropped on the table. Not festive at all. We were happy with the food and the service. Would I book again for Sunday lunch, yes. But probably not at Christmas time. This was mentioned in a previous review and the manager gave a positive response, so I thought this had been resolved. However, they were just words and no action. View menu

I went for lunch on New Year's Eve at a clean, warm, and inviting pub. However, I have to give it a 1-star rating due to the disappointing food. I had to send back the festive vegetarian loaf because it was inedible. It arrived covered in tomato sauce and topped with salad, looking like a mess and tasting even worse. The roast potatoes were also tasteless and lacked crunch. The scotch egg, tart, and mini Yorkshires were okay. We requested for all the food to come out together, but the nibbles came out at least 30 minutes before the rest. It was a letdown. Additionally, playing news on repeat on the TVs in the bar is not enjoyable. Who wants to watch that while enjoying a pint? Unfortunately,...

Took my friend out for her birthday at the mouse someone reccomend for us.However the food was very dissapointing we ordered crispy chicken for starters it was soggy so asked for it to be changed it came back a bit crispy but it looked if it had just been flung on the plate no presentation what so ever. Our main came it was crab and prawn linguine we ordered a garlic bread to go with it which was pracrically raw with garlic oil thrown on it was terrible the main only tasted of crab no other flavour it smelt terrible and the portion was not worth the price we left it it was making us feel sick the staff behind the bar refunded the main meal I've had crab linguine many times at other restauran...

I would have given 5* for the pub, as it lovely. But the service we received was poor. Stayed for 1 night in the travel lodge next door . Decided to have dinner early at 5pm. The pub wasn’t busy when we were seated, shown to a table opposite the fire, lovely and cosy. Didn’t wait too long for a waiter to come with menus. We were asked if anyone has an allergies, I told waiter I do, he presented me with a tablet and said don’t bother reading it that’s their disclaimer! … umm I think I need to read what’s in what I’m planning to eat?!
