"Lovely pub hidden away from the main street with some great food. The deceptively large space hides a nice beer garden and beautiful gastropub inside. You'll find a great choice of beers including local ale. Service is really friendly and the food is hearty. It's a traditional pub menu and though I would say the presentation is a little agricultural it tastes great, we were really impressed (and pushed ourselves for dessert). Best place we went to for food in town during our trip, we had to make a reservation 2 weeks in advance and seats were already limited. Probably down to covid but they were stopping food orders after 8pm which is a shame as I think it's a treat of a place to eat at."

Over rated I had the red mullet paella dish very bland! Expensive menu typical pudding was £6.50! The pub itself is gorgeous and quirky where customers have taken to pushing money into the cracks of the beams

Whenever they see a waiting queue of people waiting for the breakfast, they know it will be good. excellent freshly prepared food served by cheerful staff. choice of sitting outside under veranda even with good weather. a great experience.

a little surprise with this pub. it feels like it's on the land and not in the city center of llandudno. beautiful cozy ambiente with irradiated ceilings and a beautiful selection of local real ales. service was excellent and friendly, although they were short employees. View menu

Nice pub, nice decor, relaxed atmosphere, more leaning towards food than a pub atmosphere and we only had a couple of drinks. Good quick service. Don't understand why sandwiches can't be served after 5.00pm as we often would like this as a light evening meal and the kitchen would already have the ingredients !!

a really good sound, but recommended a reservation. we had to wait outside for a table in the beer garden. there were heating, but it was cold. the staff was very friendly and the food was delicious we had venison sausages and maische and meeresbass on a bed of prawn and vegetable Thai green curry. really nice. would recommend.

Visited Llandudno for the day with family and The Cottage loaf had been recommended by two friends. We were greeted by a young friendly man, waited on by a young friendly girl. The food was beautiful . It was a little more pricey than a usual pub meal but you get what you pay for i suppose. We will visit again on our next visit and will recommend to others . View menu

a large traditional pub filled with a lot of character staff friendly and welcoming. we had lunch. I was a little disappointed that truthahn was not on the menu or cute huh. instead it was half a huh. I was wondering if I could take the breast away as I ate everything. but it was said no. So I ended up with the nut roast I found very dry. the veg was beautiful and the house made yorke. hubby loved his . he had the fascism and praised it. overall, eating is well presented and beautiful. define your visit again

My son's partner, my daughter and her partner, and I stayed in Llandudno for the weekend as a Mother's Day gift. After enjoying a lovely brisk walk along the pier, we arrived at The Cottage Loaf at 5 PM. The place was bustling, but a kind gentleman who was sitting alone at a table for four offered us his spot and moved to a table for two, which was the only available option. He even brought over an extra chair to accommodate all five of us. A big thank you to the staff and management – I can't praise you enough! xx

"Whenever I get the inclination to write a review it’s usually because it’s so good and I want to shout about my experience to everyone… however this is not my usual 5* recommendation! As locals we have visited this cafe on a few occasions for breakfast or a coffee stop. It’s a great location, nice decor, dog friendly and delicious food. What’s not to like? Well, the staff, or more specifically the owner! She lacks any customer service skills, she smiles through gritted teeth, orders her staff around while she stands observing (or waiting for an argument . Each time we’ve visited she’s had an issue with something. Once she argued with me because I asked for my latte to be served in a cup rather than a tall glass. She proceeded to try and educate me on coffee making (I’m barista trained ! She reluctantly gave me it to me in a mug with a jug of extra milk which wouldn’t fit into the mug anyway! More recently we arrived, it was quiet, and chose to sit in the window (the largest table as we had our dog and didn’t want him to be in the way. She rushed over and demanded we sat at another table because she “couldn’t afford for us to take up a larger table”. We moved without an issue but she was very confrontational (as always and made the rest of our dining experience uncomfortable. So uncomfortable in fact that despite being ravenous we almost didn’t order. The cafe remained quiet throughout our time there, plenty of empty tables and yet she proceeded to use the larger window table to accommodate her staff, herself and a friend who popped in. How is that fair? So my advice to you as a fellow catering/ hospitality manager is… Learn from your Trip Advisor feedback, Book yourself on a free customer service course and lead by example and if you are worried about costs reduce the number of staff. 5 staff on duty in a cafe that seats approx 25 people at full capacity is not needed. Maybe the owner should put her feet up at home and let the lovely younger people do their thing. They all look so nervous around her and are almost too afraid to speak. I’m sure they’d do a far better job without her monitoring their every move. Even the Chef (her husband maybe? looks petrified of her!! Certain people are not cut out for customer facing roles and she is one of them! I’m pretty sure she doesn’t read any of these reviews as she’s been like this since my first visit 5 years ago!! What a shame. This place could be a thriving business and a welcoming village cafe but I’m sure her confrontational attitude and unwelcoming nature put people off from returning. Such a shame as the food and coffee are delightful"
